A tip on how to deal with all the Berg threads |
|
Do not click on them.
There is even a handy ignore button.
Look, this is a very tramatic issue. There are some anamolies in the video. These two things combined are going to cause a group of people who are naturally skeptical of the official word to question the living daylights out of the situation.
Think of it as grieving. Think of it as seeking justice. Just understand that not all people are going to deal with this information in the same way.
If you feel compelled to refute the ideas being bandied about then do so in a positive contructive manner. Dismissing the ideas as nonsensical only adds to the tension and resolves nothing.
If you want to help then help. If it bothers you that this matter is being discussed then you have my apologies. But some people need to discuss this.

1. Thanks for your advice. |

I know that am very upset. At least I have looked at the video enough times to be assured that the poor guy in the orange jumpsuit was dead when the cutting began. This cruel war has to be stopped, for the sake of all of us.

3. Colin Powell's Son Controls The Nation's Media And Communications |
|
Do what I did...buy a Shortwave Reviever, listen and learn to informed people and discount the people that have money to lose by "not" listening to "them".
If I come across cold sometimes, I deal with Dell, M$, my employer et al in trying to control a host of problems...on top of being a life-long Democrat.

6. Or, don't post until the truth is known. |
|
I am reserving judgement right now until more facts come out, so I have no comment. I do find the analyses interesting, very interesting.

8. I just sit here in my white plastic chair... |
|
in my orange dress in front of my freshly painted wall, being filmed by a cheap walmart camera - I guess they bought it at the same walmart at the corner of Abu Ghraib, where I bought my chair. While some FBI-agents interrogate me, I'm taking snapshots of the prison in Abu Ghraib and I post at DU, using the same password and user-ID as my friends from Al-Quaida.
Hello from Germany, Dirk

9. Last week I hid a slew of Pat Tillman threads and |
|
felt a whole lot better for it. I didn't feel the need to give people grief for discussing something in which I had no interest.
There are hundreds of live threads in GD. And if you still don't see anything interesting, you can start your own.

12. I agree to freak out on people over it is childish. |
|
DU should ban people who disrupt legit threads with over the top "debunking" (ignoring, disembling, insulting).

and though i remain skeptical i'm starting to think he was killed because he was in the wrong place at the wrong time and having an Israeli stamp in his passport didnt help, the arab world has more tinfoil hat theories than we so maybe they thought he was a spy or maybe they are just terrorists.

20. Good to see you people are finally getting a grip. |
|
It's absolutely astounding how naive some people can be. Faced with the obvious, they will ignore it and ridicule anybody who suggests it as a "conspiracy theorists."
It seems to be a necessity for such people to believe in the "official story" and to react in horror at the idea that anybody might doubt it.
I simply chalk this up to excessive anxiety about a world which--given their propensity to "believe"--is excessively confusing. If they could only permit themselves to look behind the official story, to question and doubt it, to suspend belief long enough to truly evaluate its legitimacy before racing to embrace it, I think they would be less baffled and dismayed by reality.
Oh well... It's important that those of us who grasp how the world really works are patient with these people, and understanding of them.
