Here's what my barber had to say....
I go about twice a year and get my "ears lowered". My barber is a tough old guy who was in the navy during world war 2. He was for this war because the fight looked right to him after 911. Today I was sitting in the chair and an older customer and friend of my barbers was sitting in the other chair. A news story came on the tv about the Abu Ghaird abuse and the fellow in the other chair mumbled something about it's nothing compared to what they do to us. A reference to the beheading. Then my barber said "we shouldn't be in this mess". "If bush* is an honorable man he'd get us out now". The other fellow chimed in that this was not a war we could ever win and that we should just get out". I was stunned. I expected the exact opposite from these seventy-somthing gentlemen. This truly tells me that the tide is turning. People are realizing that this shit ain't right. Folks are wondering and that Mr. Rumsfeld and bush* is what democracy is all about.

3. real warriors
hate war.

They sold this war to the American public as if it were WWII of the Middle East. Now I think most are starting to see it either as WWI or Viet Nam--totally useless and futile efforts.

10. probably not vote at all
this election is about vote suppression. It doesn't matter if Bush voters vote Kerry... just that they are so disheartened and disgusted with their guy they don't vote.

8. Great news...
Reminds me of 1992. I knew Poppy was toast when my father-in-law said "It's time for a change." When you hear that from a retired doctor from Wichita, Kansas, it means the ship's a-goin' down.

Same thing here--there may be hope after all!

Here's to tough old guys--you can't fool them for long!

:toast:

PS--I get my hair cut twice a year whether I need it or not, too!

:hi:
