1. He's inflexible....
Edited on Sun May-16-04 05:32 PM by kentuck
He doesn't know how to change direction - even when he sees he's going over a cliff.

3. Understanding.
He doesn't understand the issues.
He doesn't understand complexities.
He doesn't understand nuances.

He doesn't understand the wants, needs and problems of regular Americans.

He doesn't understand much.

10. I've been thinking that would be a good campaign slogan.
John Kerry Understands

Implies he's smart and he "gets it," while Bush isn't and doesn't.

13. Exactly! That's why I picked other. The man is a human vacuum. He
is soulless, amoral, heartless, purposely ignorgant, arrogant, a liar, a cheat (Harken Energy), and a gutless coward (missing year from TANG). Not to mention the very weird fact that he did three (?) graduation commencement speaches but wont' attend his own daughters graduations, so he's a shitful parent as well.

God help us if he represents the 'Christian' or 'spiritual' spirit in this country. This man gives voodoo worship a good reputation.

11. Bush doesn't lack morals
just morals that we hold true, and he is a compassionate person - just an incompetent world leader. He is too narrow-minded. JJ is right..he lacks understanding.

...of the returning military dead from the Middle East? Does he even care what happens to anyone below his social standing?

and all of the above.

All of these negative traits can be traced back to poor parenting.

14. Lack of intellectual curiosity and lack of a basic knowledge base
I consider both to be different from a general lack of intelligence. I believe he has intellectual potential, but he's never used it due to his incredibly spoiled upbringing and being surrounded by "smart", but evil, advisors.

Though he had everything going for him after 911, if one thing is certain in this world, it is Junior's ability to fuck things up.

a major lack of humility. Here are my three main beefs with Bush:

1. He never admits he's wrong.
2. His phony "honor and integrity" rep. I'm not saying Clinton was a saint, but how is Bush any better?
3.He phony "war hero" rep. Same deal.

Another point: Bush talks about his personal faith in God. I believe this is sincere, and as a Christian, that in itself doesn't bother me. My problem is, Bush seems more concerned with using his faith to get God to sanction Bush's will, rather than using his faith to know God's will. In other words:

Bush: I believe the Lord told me to cut taxes on the wealthy.

I think he really believes that, but it doesn't concern him whether he's right or not.

Edited on Sun May-16-04 11:38 PM by lostnfound
If he was humble, he never would have dreamed he was qualified to be president.

And he would assume that he had something to learn from the ordinary masses (aka focus groups).

And he wouldn't think he was God's appointee.

And he would be less inclined to play God with people's lives.

25. Pathological narcissist.
Empathy is meaningless to him since nearly all of his sense of self is in the mirror of the reactions of others. There's almost no 'there' there. He also lacks higher order intellectual function since he's dedicated to manipulation and scheming to elicit reactions. He can never get enough because what he seeks doesn't fill the underlying void. This could be characterized as a lack of integrity but since the only meaning of any word is the reaction it provokes in whatever context it's said, one cannot define the moral and ethical self to which any assessment of integrity would refer.
