Nick Berg and Rep Nat'l Convention?
I just flipped through the channels and the bottom banner on the Faux News Channel said that Nick Berg set up Equipment at 2000 Republican National Convention.

This guy was everywhere!

Anybody know anything about this??????

1. Odd...
In 2000 He would've been 22 years old. Hard to believe the RNC wouldn't have hired a more established (read: Big Donor) telecommunications company to set up it's comms.

2. Didn't get the whole
story...just the banner across the bottom of the page.

There are so many coincidences and anamolies in this guy's background that my head is spinning trying to catch up with them all.

Worse yet, if you try to make sense out of what happened to him, ,,,
well...you just can't make any sense of it...there's no common theme...there's no integrity (continuity) to his story.

Got to quit thinking about it.....

4. more info at Freepers
If you search at Freepers, they talk about it a little bit. They think that this means he was union and thus the enemy!

5. all these connections
i can't even keep up...

I read somewhere that Berg also had the missing 18 mins of the Nixon tapes in a hidden safe (along with a map leading to the lost city of gold)

7. Wouldn't that require a high security clearance?
Anybody know the answer? Also, was it Prometheus or was he working with another company?

The suggestion by another DU'er that he was an agent is beginning to make a lot more sense.

10. Berg was probably CIA
One of the agents in Plame's network, when one of her sources got nabbed overseas after her outing Berg's name came up and got him nabbed in Iraq.... All this is just conjecture on my part, and I have nothing to back it up with, but if you look at all the links it seems like a plausible story

9. I thought he volunteered at the Convention. I didn't think he was hired
to do that work, In Philadelphia that would almost certainly have to be done by the unions.
