Will a President Kerry be more concerned about environmental issues? |
|
Especially global warming?
Will a Kerry Administration get the United States back into the Kyoto Protocol and lead a renewed effort to deal with this serious worldwide problem?
I don't need to see "The Day After Tomorrow" to know I'm get a just little scared over the complete disregard the Bush Adminstration has shown towards the problem of global warming, among other environmental issues. We can't just sweep up these real environmental concerns under the rug.

3. Kerry has criticized Bush... |
|
Kerry was a delegate to the 1992 Earth Summit, Kyoto, and the a 2000 UN conference on the environment. Kerry has criticized Bush for withdrawing from the Kyoto Protocols. Republicans and some Democrats have criticized him openly for his "unshaken" adherence to the standards provided by the Protocols in spite of what they say are its "economy crippling" (read - problems for oil and other pollution producing industries) provisions.
So, I'd say yes, if he can get Congress to go along. Bush's damage is so profound, he may have a very hard time even beginning to reverse it.

He has said he will get back into Kyoto.
He has a lot of environmental plans. He's always big a huge advocate. His record is the best in the senate, I believe, for that group that rates senators records on the environment. Also, I believe he and Teresa started dating after they talked at an environmental summit.

I'd be hard to be less concerned than the "eat more tuna, ignore the mercury the power plants give off" Bush administration.

6. Robert F. Kennedy Jr is aligning with Senator Kerry. We can't ask for a |

better man to take control of our environmental issues.
We can count on them as a team to begin reversing the damage of the destructive GOP policies.
