Imus: "Sean Hannity is disingenuous, hypocritical and phony.."
...For repeatedly playing the Berg audio. Hannity claims its his DUTY to inform the public of what happened.

11. He was busy finding a hat
that's truly gigantic, yet not so big that it would fall down and engulf his entire head, preventing others from hearing him mumble words like disingenuous and hypocritical.

3. Sean Boy Was In Total Spin/Rinse Last Night...
As noted in some threads here he was all but orgamsming (if that's what sexually repressed bi-pods do) about the WMD...making it sound like there were hundreds of these shells falling all over the place. One caller, I was amazed the guy got through, reemed Sean about sounding so gleeful if "the terrorists" were now lobbing chemical weapons at our troops...putting them in even greater peril.

Of course, no mention that this was a preliminary finding...I'm sure the final one say it was Dr. Scholl's in the missile, or it was pre-1991 (stuff that probably said "Made In The U.S.A." on it). Someone on C-Span this morning also mentioned that the shell size didn't fit in with Soviet size shell casings, but with American ones. Hmmm. Nah, it's too early for that.

Finally, he had Russert on. I'm sure the only reason Mr. Potato (my wife thinks Timmy is starting to look more and more like Oscar the Grouch) was on was to plug his shill book (which he did and Sean sucked up big time). Russert downplayed the Powell faux pas but then echoed that what Powell went on to say was more damaging to Bushyboy than the camera mess-up.

Then there was the "discussion" about if Sean bothered to contact the Berg family before playing the sounds of their loved ones screams on his show last Friday. Sean played "oh gee whiz"...and how he had producers call (no mention if they talked to anyone) and how this was to bring home to America how evil their torturers are compared to ours.

For a while I feared what came out of this asshole's mouth, now it's back to amusement, as it's so obvious he's reaching to keep the dwindling faithful "with the program". He'll lie and go down with the regime...stay tuned.

4. Off topic re: Whoressert.
His guest on his CNBC show the other day? Himself! He brought in Brokaw to ask him questions as he shilled for his book. Absurd.

5. I Saw The String...Wasn't Up For That Crap
My father fought in WWII and did the same routine Russert & Brokaw's father did. As my brother said after he passed away 2 years ago..."the first third of his 80 years were chaos and hell, the last two thirds was nice and comfy".

Off topic, off topic...I hear Russert is very pissed at being lied and used by RoveCo. in the run-up to the war. I'm not sure how that's affecting his interviewing, but his quick temper with Powell was surely noted here.

6. Making their moves?
Are these the first rats into the lifeboats? I bet they even might tend to grant Kerry a honeymoon. I know some people here watch this moral battle for their souls and redemption avidly as they await affirmation from the Gallup polls, but I think there are better fairer, more honest and intelligent mediators out there. This whole corporate newsroom generation is a spoiled bag of gushy brown apples.

Going after Powell is hardly a "conversion" since Powell is fair game for all sides despite his great rep in Foggy Bottom. The Bush people especially like to keep him in his place taking their heat, carrying their water.

7. I'd love to hear more about that if you get any info.
I have been wondering when people like Russert would put concern about their own future and credibility over keeping BushInc propped up.

10. huh?
"Russert is very pissed at being lied and used by RoveCo. in the run-up to the war."

wtf? why didn't he do/say something about it then?

37,000 dead iraqi's later, such pronouncements would seem to be just a tad late.

8. Hannity is destroying his own credibility jumping
on these lame ass stories. The hate radio people are really having a rough time finding material these days.

The beheading and WMD's are just too convenient. Both are inside jobs IMO.

9. Why is Hannity putting us in the same league as alQaeda?
Edited on Tue May-18-04 08:58 AM by underpants
Does he hate American that much?

Off topic but that would be my response to the "lookie lookie they beheaded this guy, they are much worse than us so what happened with the POW's really wasn't all that bad when ...........(wait for it) WHEN YOU PUT IT IN CONTEXT"

I have been waiting to post that somewhere and this seemed the right place.

Thanks for the summary I couldn't watch it last night my wife HATES the screaming heads.
