Zig Ziglar Seminars: Stealth GOP Campaign Events?

Well, I really hate to say this but my sister (a Dem) went to a Zig Ziglar seminar yesterday with about 15,000 other people in San Jose and she now says that she would vote for Rudy Giuliani for President because she was so impressed with his personalized story about 9-11.

Rudy, Jessica Lynch, Joe Montana, Dyan Cannon, and a bunch of other celebrities were at this "motivational seminar" and I swear it seems like the GOP is grooming Rudy for something big and avoiding campaign finance laws. Also, this seminar is working on people's emotions like no campaign rally ever could.

I don't really buy it. I mean, it is all a big racket. Big religous stadium events, motivational speakers, teamwork seminars...they all deliver a sugar high at the moment and then the people fade back into normalcy and most of what was said goes unheeded.

I wouldn't worry too much. Your sister is likely to be just as affected or more so if she touches John Kerry at a rally and thinks he's the new MESSIAH.
