Bush just met with the Repub caucus.... |
|
Edited on Thu May-20-04 09:22 AM by kentuck
Here is my post from May 14th : :)
Expect Bush to have a meeting with the Repub caucus ....
in the next couple of weeks. Because he knows if he continues to slip in the polls, they will drop him like a hot potato. And he cannot afford to be dropped by them at this time. But they are thinking about their re-election. And they are starting to be concerned. Very concerned. If the top of the ticket does not do well, the House and Senate candidates do not do too well either.
There is a real possibility that the Democrats may not only take the White House, they may take back the House and Senate. This is a real fear amongst the present majority Repubs in both Houses. And they are right to fear the possibility.
That is why Mr Bush will call them together sometime in the next couple of weeks - to let them know that they need to keep a stiff spine and not give up on him just because the polls are not looking good in his favor. However, that will be easier said than done. The Repubs eyes are wide open, as if they have seen a ghost, and they are not really interested in saving George W Bush's ass, they are too concerned about their own.

2. I wish I could believe there's a chance, but I've lost the faith. |

These bastards are placed too high and have too much at stake to leave this to the vargarities of the electorate. This election will be stolen at every level needed, and they won't need too much.
Yesterday, someone in the local newspaper's editorial page referred to the "Bush Bashers" as "...pinkos and commies..." He's not alone by a long shot.

Not just because it will be stolen via Diebold, but that the people are so easily manipulated by the Fright Wing media.
1) Oil prices are rising now so a 25 cent a gallon dip in October when the Saudis up production will seem like a godsend. Bush will be portrayed as a hero for standing up to those vicious oil barons.
2) Osama will be defrosted and dragged out from wherever he is on ice. Bush is again portrayed as a hero who single-handedly went into the caves, took out Osama's bodyguards with his fists and dragged him by his beard out of the cave.
3) WMD are found a week before the election - too late for legitimacy tests to be completed(see the Mehr News Agency reports about the US unloading WMD in Iraq!) Bush again portrayed as a hero who stood alone against Hans Blix, David Kay, Richard Clarke & others.
4) Big terror attack again. However, instead of the anger that the Spanish showed at their leaders for bad policy & not being able to protect them, the media announces that the country must come together and re-elect our brave war president.
