All this praise being heaped upon the FBI by Repugs (Hatch)

All of a sudden, the same FBI workforce and career employees that were bashed and smeared during the Clinton administration are the most wonderful, dedicated, trusted, competent Federal employees on earth. WTF? These Republicans have no shame. They don't even remember how just a few years ago they were smearing both the military enlistees and most Federal workers including those working for the FBI, Justice Dept. etc. At least 90% of this workforce is still in place and were the same people that Republicans bashed when Clinton was in office. When will this rank hypocrisy end?

during Clinton's Administration? Sorry, I can't remember. :)

I've always got the feeling as somebody in law enforcement that the FBI/ATF were more friendlier with the Dems while DEA/CIA were more friendlier with the Republicans.

well what about the DEA? Another one of my law enforcement teachers who is an extreme liberal worked for the DEA as an Agent most of his career. All he pretty much did was just wear plain clothes and buy drugs.. and go after the bigger dealers. I'm sure there are some high profile cases they work but they seem in my view to be the same as a regular Narcotics Detective with a municipal dept.
