the "Fairness Doctrine" would have required equal time to challengers. But now they don't have to give the time.

They also said when Reagan ran for Governor the "Networks" didn't run his movies because of the "Fairness Doctrin" because they felt it would be non-compliant.......but they pointed out that Auunold has had HIS movies running behind the huge coverage he has been given everywhere.....and nothing prevents his movies being shown as "hype" for his candidacy.

Their segment on this story was: "Why are you seeing so much "Schwartz" coverage? Well......this is why you are seeing it.....but just expect that "we cables & networks will "try" at least to tone it down about his "Terminator Movies" because we will "try to be fair" even though "by law" we aren't "bound to" since the "Fairness Doctrine" is gone..........BUT TRUST US....we will try to be balanced.

OMG! The total hypocracy of these Media folks. But, to be fair, CNBC GAVE IT TO US STRAIGHT! by sayin......hey! we don't like all this time we devote to "Auunold" but the "Fairness Doctrine is GONE!" WTF do you want us to to do.......we have to make a living , too! That's what I heard from this report....but I'm glad they put it out there.....drip....drip.....drip......

Most people in California don't like Davis according to the media. The main reason that Californians don't like Davis is because the media in California is activist against Davis and has been for years.

They treat Davis almost worse than they treated Clinton.

At the same time, they constantly defend and promote how great Bush is while he has even more problems surrounding him that Davis does.

You are understimating the power of the media to influence, rather than report, events.
