Early computer game "Hammurabi" or "Kingdom"---Anyone remember |
|
these from the 1970's. How about ideas on where I might find or buy a down-loadable copy?
It was a VERY simple game where one player, the king of Sumeria, buys and sells land, decides how much to feed his people, and how much land to sow each year.
After those decisions, he receives a report telling him how many people starved or died, how many newcomers, the new price of land and everything starts over again.
Sometimes floods, or famines or plagues occurred and wiped out huge parts of his population. Sometimes, the king is suddenly assassinated and the game is over; sometimes he's with-holds so much grain that he's overthrown.
Any ideas, guys? One of you surely remembers....
