Poll question: So Bush steals the White House again. What do you think the Dems will do? |
|
A number of us believe Bush knew about 9-11 in advance and was counting on it to increase his popularity. To those of us who believe that, that's 3000 Americans he was willing to sacrifice for popularity, money and power. Virtually all of us believe Gore won in 2000 and that Bush stole the White House anyway. I believe there is no way, he will let the Democrats retake power. That means he'll cheat, kill, declare martial law or do whatever it takes to stay in power. Suppose he does, what do you really believe Kerry and the Democrats will do this time.

2. If Bush declares martial law... |
|
... and cancels the election, it doesn't really matter what the Democratic party apparatus does, because there will be millions of Americans in the streets, shutting down the entire country until we GET OUR DAMN ELECTION.
I know that's what I'd be doing.

3. Revolution. It's important to note bush* didn't steal anything. |
|
He's not that bright. He's nothing more than the Trojan horse which got PNAC into the White House and the Pentagon. Bush* couldn't accomplish an omelet on his own. The plot runs deeper than bush* could conceive.

6. if history is any guide ... |
|
A round of very testy looks, followed by a rather unpleasant near-scolding, and concluding with a not-very-nice afternoon of occasional finger-tapping and tsk-tsk'ing. And after that, barring a miracle, another few years of general acquiescence.

8. Kerry supposedly already has a team of lawyers ready for this |
|
But based on what Bev said, his campaign is woefully ill-informed on BBV. Which sort of defeats the whole purpose of the lawyerly A-team.

9. Even with all that's gone on, |

the only way I'd see a revolution in this country is if the election was suspended. There are still too many in this country that can't bring themselves to believe that a president could be involved in 9/11.

Most Dems would roll over on their backs and in whiney voices beg the Neo Fascists to rub their tummies.

election was tough on all Americans and we need a period of "healing." They will not challenge Bush, just as they really did not challenge him even before 9/11/01, thinking that the American people have had enough of politics. They will interpret a Bush "victory" as a mandate for them not to fight what * wants to do.
Instead they will blame the "liberals" in the party for the loss and say it is proof that a populist message does not work in the 21st century.
Of course they will ignore the millions of non-voters, believing that neither party is concerned about the average American or are too close in values, who stay home on election day.
