Dennis Kucinich on MTP this AM
Ahmed Chalabi, international man of mystery and fraud, will be the main guest. The Kooch will debate the US role in Iraq with Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-CA). Ths ought to be good, although Russert's requisite whoring might blunt most of what Dennis can bring to bear. :D

5. D.K. quote: "I support John Kerry"
and..."this is George Bush's war and he must be held accountable".....then a hush....Russert has no comeback and no follow-up. Hunter jumps in with b.s.

6. It's due on in LA at 8:00;
I need to leave right around then, my horse and I are going on a poker trail ride this morning. If he's on, I'll wait, and hope they don't leave me behind in the confusion getting 40 riders organized for an event.

I don't know if my satellite feed is my local time, or some other time, though.

Can you tell us more?

8. I was disappointed in him...
...Kucinich did not seem prepared. Hunter came across as more informed and stated his case better. Kucinich seemed to try to talk only in sound bites. He acted like the sarin shell photograph was the first time he had heard of it. As a regular to DU I know what a sack of cow manure Hunter was selling but I think anyone who is not informed about what is going on would have walked away leaning gop. Flame me all you want for this. I voted for Kucinich in the primaries, he just did not state the case against repuke lies with any clarity or cohesiveness. Anyone who can lose a debate to Duncan Hunter is really sucking wind.

9. He should have mentioned that it likely dated from pre '91
A tiny shell of aged sarin doesn't have much capacity as a WMD. But holding up the photo and saying 'this is what we went to Iraq for?' was ad hoc but pretty effective--turned Hunter's own prop around on him.

13. I was a DK delegate...and I have to AGREE!
What I missed the most from his argument was we are MORE at risk NOW after the attack....Staying is only going to make it worse.

14. Hey we all like Dennis ok...
...but if all you do is talk in soundbites then you leave yourself open to the Mondale soundbite: Where's the beef? Sure it sounded good but you are already convinced. He should have explained why it is in Halliburtons bank account. Your subject heading shows you are not holding Kucinich to any standard and that soundbites are good enough for you. If the GOP held their candidates to any kind of standard whatsoever higher than alliterative soundbites then we wouldn't be saddled with * right now. Let's be better than them.

15. oh please Kucinich beats them at their own game and you bitch?
You obviously arent very familiar with the man if you think he is lacking depth or substance. Would that Kerry could hold anyones attention with his unsoundbitable somniloquies.
A kick ass slogan is a kick ass slogan.

17. Tin you aren't listening...
I don't think he is lacking in depth or substance. The problem is that he has already sold me. He needs to go out and sell other people and soundbites aren't going to do it.
