2. Saudi extra oil is extra heavy - for power plants only - not gas |
|
Edited on Sun May-23-04 05:06 PM by papau
and we can't really use it
The plan (to shut down lower profit and near break-even gas refineries so as to protest EPA rules) is just about completed - so our ability to refine extra oil into gas in minimal. The studies produced by the GOP during the early 90's showed that the price increase for product caused by shutting down the plants made them much more money than running those plants.
The oil boys have no problem screwing the United States, since their only loyality is to their class - the rich and corporate.
And our media is too lazy to point this out - or is not allowed to do so.

4. Just the rumor that supplies were going to be cut or prices were going up |
|
was enough to cause an IMMEDIATE hike in the pump price. But prices continiue to go up on the news that the supplies will be increased. All this proves is that the oil companies are gouging the public and there isn't a damn thing we can do about it because we don't want to do anything about it. That would mean a little bit of sacrifice!
