Bush to give Weekly Speeches on Iraq?
Did anyone else hear this beside me? I first heard it on CBS Evening News earlier tonight but found a blip that these little talks on Iraq will be a weekly thing in the Boston Herald too. WTF? Will the networks give the Chimp free air time indefinitely for his thinly-disguised campaign propaganda talks?

13. who will be writing the scripts Bush will read?
Bush has done pretty well on his pronunciation and reading lately. As long as he isn't expected to have a command of the facts or carry an intelligence conversation, he can do a credible job of reading a speech.

So who is the speechwriter this time?

3. Let him
The more he speaks the more people realize he reads a script and says the same thing over and over. The more you actually see him on tv the more you realize the audience behind him is no more than hand-picked stooges applauding on cue. The more he stares at the camera the more he looks like a wind-up doll.

4. With his pre-ocuppation with Iraq, when
does the dumb fuck ever find time to deal with the many domestic issues here at home - the environment, healthcare, education, outsourcing and the economy etc.

WTF, was he elected President of Iraq?

He cant even deal with problems here at home and he is gone and saddled himself with another country!!

6. That is going to get old very quickly. I heard he was going to give a
weekly speech until the handover June 30.

He is just setting himself up for more failures. The more he talks about how wonderful things are in Iraq, the worse they get.

8. You just gotta love the photo.

"Dear Lord, I'm a-prayin' just about as hard as I can.
I got my eyes all squinched up and everything.
But if I could somehow manage to pray just a l-i-t-t-l-e bit harder, would you PUHLEEZE make this sh*tstorm go away?
Thank you God and Jesus.
Amen"

10. Isn't that a killer?
I read about this last week. Scott McClellan said that "some speeches will have more details than others". I knew what that meant: they are making this up as they go, and sometimes they will have more time to prepare plans, like 1 or 2 hours before the speech.

Just imagine this: Bush gets up there and starts to talk about Iraq. He stammers and stutters (with a big bandage across his cheek). Then, his brain unscrambles itself and he starts: "My fellow Americans, we have now put an end to torture and abuse in Iraq". Stops himself. Can't say that.

"My fellow Americans, we are still looking for WMD's and we're sure we're going to find them". Stops again. Can't say that because we were never looking for them.

"Dearly beloved Americans, we are planning to install Democracy in Iraq". Stops for the 3rd time. He knows that his own Henchmen in the White House have just about succeeded in taking away the last of our freedoms here at home. "Don't remind them of this", he tells himself.

"Honorable People, we invaded Iraq to bring you lower gas prices". Stops himself again. Gets off the podium. Goes to get a glass of Old Crow.

Oh God, please dull the pain of listening to this idiot.

They are saying that he will give a speech every week for five weeks.

Is that a threat or a promise?!
