Would Kerry be wise to trust any advice coming from Nader?
I mean seriously, what has Nader ever done for the Democrats? Is Nader serious or is he trying to set us up to lose again?

1. I heard him on the radio just a few minutes ago...
...and he sounded pretty sincere about wanting to help Kerry win.

He said that the 8 million Democrats who voted for Bush need to think real hard about what their voting for and not make the same mistake again. He also said that the party needs to articulate a better message about what it means to be a Democrat to the 35% of union members who voted for Bush in 2000.

9. forgive my ignorance, but I believe the only reason he's on TV
is because he's running and the RW thinks they're helping Bush.

See, if you listen to him (and Democrats listen...Republicans are the ones who do as they're told) you end up voting for Kerry.

2. Kerry has worked with Nader before
the reasons nader gave for picking edwards and gephardt are the same reasons kerry himself knows he will pick them for if he ends up picking them.

6. Gephardt would be a huge mistake
I'm sure he's a nice guy but he's lifeless and barely received any votes! Edwards is our only hope!

5. I hope Nader can shift the spectrum left...
so that Bush is perceive (rightly) as a radical conservative ideologue.

7. Yes, we need Nader voters to win.

. Many of Nader's issues are mainstream opinion. Particularly public financing of elections, National Health Insurance, enforcing antitrust laws against media monopilies, stronger unions, getting the hell out of Iraq, and getting Israel out of the west bank and gaza.

8. I think Kerry shouldn't let it influence his VP decision
one way or the other.

10. Why the fuck would Nader support John Edwards?
They have absolutley nothing in common...except in my belief that the GoP would like nothing better than to run against an ambulence chaser except for running against the man most easily demonized as being a communist!-Gep!

Goddamnit! Are we trying to win, or what?

Who the hell CARES what a proven traitor, like Nader thinks?!!! Except to take it as sage advice to do the exact opposite?!!

Offer the Asshole Nader a spot in the cabinet...if he takes it, we will have to live with it-if he does'nt, he is discredited...either way, the GOP is foiled in their obvious attempt at using idiot Ralph as a spoiler...and we get the votes.

Nader, my ass.

14. In fact, they have a lot in common, and that's why he supports him.
When Nader entered the race, I remember reading a quote from Edwards about how they've known each other for years (because of the sort of law Edwards practiced) and he has a great deal of respect for the work he has done.

I presume it's mutual.

15. True, but until Nader steps down
With a loud and vocal endorsement of Kerry, then his words are no different than cow dung to me.

16. Until Nader steps down, I am going to assume he is on the Republican...
payroll...anything he says up until then will be assumed by me as aid to the enemy.

Better to pick unknowns than to choose a vp as easily demonized as Edwards or Gep!

Hey! I like them both, but I would put them in the Cabinet...and offer it to Nader too! This will neutralize Ralph, one way or another. He either puts up, or is shown to be the GOP collaborator many of us suspect he is.

Suspect hell, know for a virtual certainty, more like! Whatever Nader says, do the exact opposite.

Remember the anti-national health care ads the GOP ran with such great success in 94 when they took back BOTH Houses of Congress? Well, they would love to dust them off again, this time pointed straight at John Edwards...blame the whole health care mess on him. It will work, too.

12. exactly!
Why would Nader throw out two names that have absolutely nothing to do with his agenda? Edwards is pretty damn moderate! I guess Nader will turn around and paint the Dems as rightwingish once two pro-war Dems are on the ticket.
