C-Span-7:20a.m.: 55% of journalists declare themselves to be liberal? |
|
Pew poll results. But they don't mention who owns the media. That is why our news are filtered. Journalists think that Bush's administration is not discussed honestly...WHOSE FAULT IS IT? Of course, all the RW are happy to agree with this statement that the media are liberal....

The only politics that matter in the media are those of the FIVE CEOs who control ABC NBC CBS CNN and Fochs. It doesn't matter a damn if the "Journalists" (stop it, you're killing me) are liberal, CONservative or Pagan as long as the company line is "Support the pResident because we invested in him so heavily."

5. the "poll" is the same as an internet entertainment poll - not scientific |
|
self -identify
beyond that - the "media" output is controlled by right wing editors and owners and producers - and those that think right wing bias actually helps in the overnights.
The new hire reporter is 55% liberal - even if true - means nothing.
The EU has major media owned by Labor Unions and by Liberal parties - that appears to be the only way to keep a fair media field in front of the public.

They don't mention that all the owners of the networks and the producers are republicans. They are the people who book the guests, set the agenda, and frame the debate.
They also don't mention the fact that 99.9% of the anchors are moderate republican or far right republican. I believe Keith Olberman is the only liberal to anchor his own show on all of cable news.
They also don't mention that 75 to 85 percent of the sources they use are moderate republicans or far right republicans.
Fair.org had a media analysis company from Germany do a study on the news and they found that after 9-11 85 percent of the sources on the news were republican. And before 9-11 they found that 75 percent of the sources were republican.
I am guessing this poll was commissioned and paid for by a republican or the RNC, the whole thing is a distortion meant to imply the media is liberal.

. . .they don't mention the causative relationships to education.
Since a very high proportion of journalists are college educated, and there is well established research that education tends to make one more liberal (due to critical thought processes being engendered), then it makes sense that a highly eduated grouping would tend liberal.
Since the overall adult population has only about 30% college educated people, the journalism profession would be irrepresentative of the overall. It's only natural and it's statistically predictable.
Didn't see that in the article from Pew either. I've got friends over there. Think i need to make a couple of phone calls today. The Professor
