Why haven't we seen any pictures

of W actually riding his fabled bicycle?

When W goes to Crawford, it's a big event when he goes out on the property. It's just such a great setting for those Marlboro Man photo ops. Usually he's dragging along at least a handful of guests, staffers and a photographer.

However for these bike rides there seems to be none of the usual hoopla. The only person that they've admitted was with the pResident at the time of the accident was his MD. No entourage? They claim he was wearing a helmet and a mouth guard? A mouth guard to ride around on your own property and still end up with most of the bruising all around your mouth?

Yet not one single picture of our he-man on his bike, either before or even after, on the next day when he went riding again?

Sorry folks, I'm not buying it. IMHO, It looks more like a severe case of facial herpes to me.

4. MSNBC showed a picture of him giving an award (supposedly today) and

there wasn't a mark on him. I was going to post and ask if DU'ers photoshopped his injuries. Usually the first couple of days there's swelling and bruising when you scrape yourself up. Maybe he used a great make up artist...but it was very odd to see the kind of photos that were here on DU and not to see a mark on him.

Maybe MSNBC lied and the photo op that was presented as today...was actually last week? :shrug:

5. Agreed - And you have to work up to 17 miles.

Even if one has lots of general endurance from hours on a treadmill or running, a different body area has to adjust to saddle friction, if you get my drift. You start out riding 5 miles, maybe 10, several times a week to "toughen up". And if he'd been riding several times a week, there would certainly have been photo shoots and the press would have been invited along. Were his doctor and Secret Service guys also able to handle a 17 mile ride? And WHY the doctor?

Also, he was scheduled to fly to Austin for a graduation party later that day. After a 20 mile bike ride, my friends and I look for some place to scarf down some food and then head home to shower and collapse.

I mean, the photo ops of our great leader, all dressed in tight, spandex dayglo bicycle tights, should have been the photo op of the day. I mean this is the codpiece presidunt. He loves to dress up in costumes. Howcome we did not get a photo of that?

We have never, in the past years, ever seen a picture of him on a mountain bike. It is not his sport, or his hobby. He does not have the bicycle outfits , like Kerry does and so I conclude the whole thing about him riding seventeen miles on a mountain bike on his ranch in Crawford, accompanied by his physician, is a lie.

10. consider this...he was on a bike..falls and hurts his chin, lip, nose,hand

and "both" knees....how could that happen?

Did he go over the handlebars? A chin guard would have protected his chin...he fell flat on his face and with both knees hurt..he landed flat on the ground face first....how does one do that from a bike?

I cannot figure that out.

It's most likely a drinking injury and Rove concocted the bicycle story to make Monkey Boy look manly and athletic like John Kerry.

It's only a marginally better excuse than choking on a pretzel.
