And we wouldn't have had 911, and certainly no bushwar in Irag!
We'd still have surplusses, peace, hope and prosperity as far as the eye could see.
But instead we get the asshole we currently have in Al's House!

I'm not sure it would have been a landslide, but I think he definitely would have won. All the reservation is gone. The man is now just plain inspiring. It makes you wonder if he might have another run in him someday for the presidency???
In the mean time, I hope he restores journalism to what it's SUPPOSED to be with his new cable network.
In 2000, Al Gore just didn't know WHO he was. He had NO IDEA how to sell himself. I think he's now found himself, and it's inspiring.

I think that most people would agree that Gore isn't afraid to show more emotion (and down-right anger) now. The fact that a man of his stature (the elected president) can be so passionate has an electrifying effect.
It's sad that it took this for the passion to brightly shine. I agree he could possibly have been the best president ever, he is showing now the moral courage that a president _should_ have.
God Bless You President Gore.

Al is on fire. He laid out the case in a prosecutorial manner. He just called for the resignation of all upper level bushistas to resign.
Now he's almost in tears as he calls for Tenet to resign. Says Tenet is a personal friend.
He chided them on Chalabi duping them. He basically laid it all out. He's leaving nothing out.

Does it really matter where this granade was, or how it got there? Do you think it might have caused more damage to more people if Max hadn't picked it up? That's like saying the soldiers who died in Iraq don't deserve admiration or respect, because they died when they crashed their hummer! It was a war zone. He wouldn't have picked up a granade if he had still been in Georgia!

Your President didn't risk losing any limbs in the National Guard. He couldn't even keep up at Ellington, had to run away to Alabama.
Max Cleland & Al Gore & John Kerry & quite a few others make your little president look like the chickenshit chickenhawk he is. And Bill Clinton--who protested the war & managed to avoid it by educating himself--was not a hypocrite. And he was legally elected twice.
Your boy is just looking worse & worse.

That speech just really drove it home for me. It was awesome, and I must say it's about damned time! Do you realize what just happened? The rightful president just called the fake one everything that he is. Maybe now others will grow some guts and follow the example, late as it is, and run this dangerous clown and his cronies out of the White House.
Damn, I didn't think it was possible to be any more disgusted with the shitty excuse for a man who calls himself President.
I listened to Rush Limbaugh for a few minutes this afternoon, and he was making fun of Gore's speech. What a clueless piece of crap he is. That speech was brilliant and historic.

because Gore just opened up a big, tall frosty can of WHOOP ASS on him!
The big huge white sweat towel cracked me up a bit. Could they not have gotten something smaller? But hey, if that's my biggest criticism, it was a HOT speech.
My nine year old walked in and I told her that's the man who was supposed to be president. She listened to him for several minutes and said "he's gooooooood, he can pronounce everything". Then left the room.
Wow our standards have gotten low under bush if pronouncing everything correctly impresses us, doesn't it?
Gore did a fantastic job. My respect for him is off the charts. But everytime I hear him give a speech I choke up a bit thinking about what could have been. Such a good, decent man......

Granted, it would be highly unusual for a former VP to take a cabinet position, but his international experience could be crucial, even if it's only for the first two years of the Kerry administration to kick-start a resolution to this Iraq mess.

DAMNED SOON!! Gore's right, he can't offer specifics about Iraq... But DAMMIT, Kerry has to display some sort of vision and view of what's going on at this sort of level. Even Clark touched on this sort of thing, the morality of the Admin. and what the country is all about, in his Alabama speech.
This is what bugs me the most about Kerry at this point. He is not establishing his position in terms of moral leadership vs Bush. Why does Gore have to do this job...although he is truly magnificent in the role, if Kerry is wearing the mantle of "leadership" then he should speak to these broad issues. That's the one way he can set himself apart from the all the bullshit from the Bush camp.
I don't want to hear the Paula Zahns of the media imply that Bush and Kerry's Iraq plans are the same....He has to go beyond the mundane level, and prove that he as a leader is NOT the same..........
