...that is one of the best speeches I've EVER seen. He articulated every one of the points I've been trying to relate to my RW family and acquaintances regarding the Bush administration. Every one.
I guess I'll just have to use the old fashioned video tape and catch the C-SPAN replay.

www.c-span.org and then look under "latest video."
I haven't had time to watch it yet, but I plan to tomorrow!

I have two of 'em and they are the best things ever. I just wish every hotel and motel in the country had one. Right now I have 15 hours of stuff (mostly Enterprise episodes) to watch over the summer. Its the best way to watch a baseball game, too. (All action, no downtime). my TiVo!

The Tivo is great. I often find myself reaching for the replay or pause button on my car radio because I'm have become so accustomed to having complete control over the television, only to be disappointed when I'm reminded it doesn't work the same way.

I could TiVo my husband when I have been daydreaming and missed something he said. I know what you mean about the radio -- it happens to me all the time.

6. Ah, I love being on the bleeding edge of technology |

My first TiVo, which I had to buy online because nobody here even knew what they were, was (and still is) a 14 hour version. The other one is a 30 hour. I am now holding out for a high definition one for DirecTV. Two tuners and about 200 hours of digital TV. Bliss!

7. I love my TiVo, but if you want to |

record something that's already aired, you do have to be on that channel while it's airing. That is to say, if you were watching something else and then switched to C-Span for the last 15 minutes of the speech, you'd only be able to replay that 15 minutes, not the entire speech. If you had been "on" that channel all along, you would be able to hit "Record" at the end of the speech and have it all captured, unless it exceeded the time limit, which I think is one hour. In other words, if I'm watching Letterman and decide to record the show when it's almost over, TiVo will not go back to the very start of the show but will give me the last hour.
Hope that makes sense but in any case, I love TiVo.
