1. Al is on fire
Thundering like a tent preacher, keeping a delicate balance between humor and disgust... it's a remarkable performance. Even if you're lukewarm about Gore, this is worth watching.

3. How could anybody ever say he was wooden?
I was waiting for the lighting bolts to come crashing from his hands and an intense heat to consume the place. Man, that was a speech.

The part where he condemned der Fuhrer for dragging America's good name through the mud just gave me chills.

5. You're right! But that wasn't there in 2000!
Of course, he didn't have the same talking points then. Bush gave him a treasure trove of stuff!!

8. Al has been freed from the constraints of a political campaign
If you act like a real person in a campaign, people tear you apart. That's why I know I could never be President, I'd accidentally say how I really felt about something and be instantly ripped apart by the punditry. That and the whole lack of a massive pile of money thing.

4. Al rocks. See it for yourself.
This is a must see, people. But it must be seen in context.

I'd seen threads here and there all day on DU, but I guess you've got to believe it to see it. (I'm a believer and I meant that juxtaposition.)

It was a passionate and factual based indictment of the incompetence of Bushco and their open disregard for the rules of law. And the irony is that “law” as viewed by a 5/4 decision by the SCOTUS selected * over Gore, while the popular vote knew better. You will never get that from the mainstream news coverage. Oh man, that is the rub. If we had Gore as our President now, we would never even have the shame and expense of Iraq on our hands. And that’s not the least of it.

If these fuckwads (my word, not Gore’s) had any respect for the Constitution and the application of its laws, they should resign their offices and not scapegoat the “few bad apples” that they directed to abuse and torture the Iraqi detainees.

On another personal note, I must lament the loss of language, reading and pronunciation that the SCOTUS decision gave us in their anointment of * as the POTUS. And then there’s that character flaw thing that motivates the majority of America to vote in the first place. That may be on our side, but it’s too soon to tell for sure. After all, it’s SO American to deny that you were ever wrong.

7. I just watched it again. The repukes are having conference calls..
Meme for June 27th. Al Gore is a surrogate for Kerry. He's saying what Kerry wants said but is too chicken to say himself. Must ridicule, mock and destroy Al Gore and by extension, John Kerry. Al Gore is crazy and bitter. blah blah blah :puke:

10. Hard hitting but not a crazy rant like the media's been saying
I thought it was a great speech. He pulled it all together.

The media will go after Gore by attacking the messenger, not the message.

11. A mighty warrior has emerged
over this past three and a half year period. I have caught every major speech and have been amazed.

He's hammered BushCo. hard time and time again. How screwed over the entire world was the day the SCOTUS installed the usurper over this man, our true President.
