I have NEVER been as disgusted with a Boston paper as I am today
When the Herald led with the monster headline "Senator Flip-Flop Does it Again."

I mean the Herald has always been a biased right-wing rag, but they never made it so blatantly obvious before.

Frickin lunatics.

1. That's why Bush's latest ads quote that rag...
If they aren't aware of their own yellow journalism, then they're beyond stupid...

8. I refuse to read the rest of the paper.
I normally pick it up at the local coffee hole and read it while I drink a cup, but I saw that headline and said fuck it.

I'll never read that rag again if I can help it.

Like I said, I knew they were biased, but today just went way over the top.

3. Isn't that a Murdoch rag like the NY Post?It has nothing to do with Boston
anymore than the Post is NYC. They are desperate and pumping up the volume. What was their advice to us? "be nice, or you'll turn off voters"

9. Anyone have a paper copy of it?
Is there info in there on how to send a Letter to the Editor? I looked around the website, but much of the website is for registered subscribers only and I couldn't find the Letters to the Editor or any info about them.

Not that anything I write about this article would be printed by them.

Assholes.

11. Need a little help with my LTTE on this
From what I remember, a reporter was asking Kerry questions and happened to ask if he was going to accept the nomination at the convention and he said something like he hadn't decided yet and he'll let everyone know in a few days.

A flip-flop would be if he said he would NOT and then turned and said he would. He never said he would not accept at the convention, he said he hadn't decided yet. So it is NOT a flip flop you fucking asshole Herald writers!

Anyway, I'd like to have the exact quote of what Kerry said and I can't find it. I'm looking everywhere but can't find the quote. Does anyone know what he said exactly?

22. I can't find it either but
you're right -- he only said it was something he'd consider. He considered it. He decided against it. If that's a "flip-flop," who doesn't flip-flop? Crazy!

They are really reaching.

18. First of all,
It's inflammatory on it's very face. Second, since Kerry never said that he wouldn't accept the nomination at the convention, it can hardly be construed as flip-flopping to say he WOULD accept it.

If you wish to defend the blatantly propagandized views of a rag that would make Goebbels proud, may I suggest you try free republic?

26. Nah...that is nothing
I remember the Chernobyl meltdown back in 1986 was rendered as
"NUCLEAR BLAST KILLS THOUSANDS" on the front page of the Herald.

The Boston Herald is a aging perpetually endangered tabloid rag desperate for attention and low on sales.
It is a provincial newspaper read by no one outside the region...and its in a state where Kerry is good for 65% of the vote on a bad day.

It is a nasty little newspaper...now it is the Globe's flirtation with neocon a-holes like Joan Vennochi, Brian McGrory and Scot Lehigh that drives me crazy.
Not a real fighting liberal to be found on that op-ed page to be sure...
We need Joe Conason to move to Boston bad.
