Terror alert coincides with Bush ad campaign
Ad is called "Patriot Act," I found an email from Tuesday saying go to the Bush-Cheney campaign website to see it. It's not there, but I found this article saying the ad is running.

Also, there's a post in LBN saying that the administration was trying to get Ridge on the network morning news shows, but the networks didn't want him. The terror announcement was made later that day, and guess what, the networks all agreed to give Ridge his time.

<snip>

The governors made their statement a day after Bush's re-election campaign began airing a television ad with a similar messages in media markets in Delaware, Maine, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Iowa, New Mexico, Oregon, Wisconsin, Florida, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, Nevada, West Virginia, Arizona, Arkansas, Washington and Ohio, and nationally on cable networks.

The ad starts with an announcer saying: "President Bush signed the Patriot Act giving law enforcement vital tools to fight terrorism. John Kerry? He voted for the Patriot Act, but pressured by fellow liberals, he's changed his position. While wire taps, subpoena powers and surveillances are routinely used against drug dealers and organized crime, Kerry would now repeal the Patriot Act's use of these tools against terrorists."
