Question: Does anyone know if Lieberman was duped by Chalabi? |
|
And can we abort Lieberman's 2006 re-election?
Lieberman was as gung-ho for war against Saddam as Bush was because he thought that Iraq would be made into a friend and ally of Israel. With Chalabi's ties to Iran, Israel's strongest ally in the region, being exposed more each day, this Iraq-Israel alliance was obviously a deception by Chalabi.
Lieberman still continues to support this insane war and occupation despite the fact that the majority of Iraqis see Israel as an enemy and persecutor of Palestinians.
I know that we are more focused on beating Bush in November, but does anyone want to figure out how to force Lieberman to withdraw his 2006 re-election bid? To help the Senate keep tilting towards the Democrats, I'd rather boot my senator, Joe Lieberman, out in the primary before the general election. This should be a post 2004 Election topic but maybe we can toss out some ideas now.
And you Kerry supporters thought I was hard on your boy.

2. CT Democrats are too meek to challenge DINO Joe |

Heck, I have heard little criticism from anybody in our state legislature of our infamous & notorious governor. If they can't criticize a fat target like Rowland, would any of them have guts enough to challenge Lieberman?
I am guessing that Rowland will eventually resign, Rell will take over to serve the term out and the big battle will be for governor in 2006 between Rell & AG Blumenthal, or possibly Sec of State Bysiewicz.
Lieberman - if he wants to run again (he'll be close to 65 by then, no?) - will likely not get challenged by anybody. He'll defeat the Republican 60% - 40% in the general election.

There wasn't going to be an Iraq-Irael alliance, only the removal of Iraq as a threat to Israel. Joe wanted to go after Saddam without any justification from Chalabi's lies.
