2. The freeps are too dumb to understand that global warming MEANS extreme
temps in both directions.

16. Maybe they can be forgiven
because of the title we gave it?

lol. I mean, why call it "warming" when you really mean "changing"?

18. Ummm...been watching Lou Dobbs this week?
He's been reporting on the drought in the west and the impact it's having. I'm looking forward to when (if) he makes the connection and gets a global warming analyst on.

12. I've been to the future.
The sequel "I Know What You Did The Day Before Yesterday" was a little better, but not by much.

6. Nah, it will be a HUGE hit.
People just can't resist the urge to watch horror and apocolypse movies. We love a good train wreck.

I'll be going to the movies for the first time in 2 years. All the hype might actually wake some people up to the impending doom.

8. It may be a hit but I suspect it's gonna suck
These people are incapable of making a movie. From the Patriot to ID4 to GINO (Godzilla in name only) they simply have one piece of crap after the other.

The special effects look neat though :)

19. It's enhanced and compressed science
for dramatic effect, but it's not wholesale bunk. Regardless, there's no law that says movies have to be 100% accurate.

15. Gore's quote about the movie
I heard he said to the effect that:

"Well, there are two fictions about global warming. First, there is this movie. Then, there's George Bush's policy."

I just love Al!

BTW, if you are going to see this movie, MoveOn has asked activists to pass out flyers. I'm doing that and clipping them to a voter registration form. Consider the same!

Here is a link to the flyer.

20. Ahem, It is just a movie.
It doesn't prove Al Gore is right anymore than ET proves the existence of little green men, or Indpendence Day proves hostile alien scouts crash landed at Roswell NM.

It is fiction, a.k.a. make-believe, a.k.a. pretend.

22. Bad science
I've read a review of the movie so I've got the basic outline.

The problem is, the movie has the weather changes occuring over the course of a few hours instead of the years that a more realistic scenario would take.

The Freepers will point out that the movie is wrong then denounce (as usual) the entire global warming theory.

read about the well-preserved mammoth that was found which died and almost instantly froze, with succulent greens in his belly? That has always left me a little concerned about rapid weather changes. ;-)
