we slaughtered a bunch of civilians and insurgents, we crippled thousands more, almost a thousand dead u.s. soldiers, thousands more crippled for life, we remove all the nasties, and then replace them, we say we will hand over power but to whom, we ain't sure, we are planning on pulling out, but staying, liberating, not conquering, stabilizing, not occupying. any day now they will start crowing about what a great victory it all was, and how it will go down in history as a glorious american moment. that's when you know it's defeat, when they talk about peace with honor, and bringing democracy to the middle east. we lost this one, but then, that's all relative. it was never really meant to be a victory, in the classic military sense, more of a slow motion clusterfuck, to pick up a few extra trillions of dollars, and kick the heathen muslim's ass for messing with richard the lionhearted.
