What's interesting is that he contributes to liberal Democrats like Kucinich, John Conyers and Jesse Jackson, Jr., but as a Lebanese-American himself, he also contributes to other Lebanese-Americans/Arab-Americans regardless of ideological/party affiliation. Examples: John Sununu (R), Darrell Issa (R--leader of CA's gubenatorial recall), Ralph Nader (IND), Ray Lahood (R). Let it never be said that national/ethnic identity doesn't trump ideology, even amongst liberals.
