Get your kids to DU this poll!
"Scholastic Magazine" has morphed into Hitler Youth:

Be sure to check out all the great free advertising Bush/Orwell 2004's getting there! Is this what they mean by "no child left behind"?

1. Interesting
In Minnesota Ralph Nader has a commanding lead among school age children.

2. Also interesting: Darth Nader's huge lead in TEXAS!?!?!?
Maybe all those scary pictures of the candidate's wives give Ralph an edge?

6. How odd! Since I first posted this poll, Nader's lost his lead in TEXAS
and the Chimp has gain over 200 votes, while Kerry's only gotten another hundred. Now why would a thing like that occur?

3. I read some of the articles
they need to be teaching kids critical thinking, instead of leading them to just accept it at face value when Pickles says the following:

"My husband is so committed to education because he sees our schools the way a parent looks at schools," she said. "The No Child Left Behind Act is bringing more money, higher standards, and stronger accountability to schools throughout America. Now parents are getting more information about their children's school, and children who need extra attention are getting it."

It seems like a lot of the coverage encourages the mentality that the President must be a pretty decent guy, since he's President and all. Unfortunately a lot of people carry this childhood mentality into adulthood, and that's why the poor excuse for a leader in the Oval Office still has a 40-something approval rating.

4. It has been freeped or something
You can vote as many times as you want. I used to have a program that would do scripts to recursively do things this on websites.

5. Another poll on the same site
http://teacher.scholastic.com/scholasticnews/indepth/poll_speakout/

Most of the children in the poll stated that this election will have a strong impact on their lives.
