Did North Korea just fall off the Earth after that "coincedental" |

bomb blast. I can't think of a thing I've seen or read about the situation in North Korea since their dictator narowly "missed" the "accidental" explosion.

The Prime Minister of Japan just came back there, having retrieved the children of some Japanese who were kidnapped to North Korea in the 1970s. The kidnapped people were kept in North Korea until just recently, when they were allowed back for "visits." After they decided to stay in Japan, the NK government said that their children could leave the country if Prime Minister Koizumi came and got them. So he did.
However, the husband of one Japanese woman chose not to leave. He is an American who defected from the U.S. military in 1965, and the U.S. gov't has said that it will prosecute him if comes back to the States and will ask Japan or South Korea to extradite him if he goes to either of those countries.
I watch the Japanese newscast on the International Channel, so this is how I know.
