My Mail Today
Republican National committee
Ed Gillespie
RNC Chairman

Wednesday Morning

Dear Friend and Fellow American,

I must alert you to an important matter -At this very moment,
a fierce battle is being waged for America's heart and soul.
"True"

And - the decision you make in the next few moments could determine the outcome.
"Also True."

But let me explain:

Since taking office on January 20, 2001, President Bush has
transformed our party, our country, and our world.
"True again."

He has passed two of the LARGEST TAX CUTS in history , igniting
the fastest rate of ECONOMIC GROWTH since 1984- and creation of new
jobs is on the increase.

"BIG LIE"

And, on November 25, 2003, President Bush and our Republican
Congress passed a historic Medicare prescription drug bill, which
allows for the first modernization of this senior health care
program in nearly 40 years.

"Horse pucky"

In addition, President Bush has signed into law the most
important education reform in a generation, transformed the federal
government to protect our homeland, AND led our Nation courageously
in the War on Terrorism.
"We cannot afford as a nation this kind of reform and protection."

But - despite these tremendous accomplishments -the fight for
America's future is far from over.

In fact, the real battle is just beginning...

You see, the liberals are retrenching! And now, they're
hungrier than ever to undermine President Bush, and his agenda for a
better, more prosperous America. Just consider this quote from a
prominent liberal activist:

"Now the President is out of control and threatens American
democracy and the peace of the world. ..Bush must be beaten in
2004. Not only the nation, but the world, depends on it. "
"And what is wrong with that?"

Page two

That's why I'm asking you to STAND UP for America's future by
becoming a Sustaining Member of the Republican National Committee
(RNC) today. Your pledge of support, along with a membership
contribution of $25, $35, $50, $100 or more, will help President
Bush enact his agenda for a stronger, safer and better America.

"Yeah, sure."

As a Sustaining Member, you'll be entitled to a number of
benefits which I'll describe for you in a moment.

But more important - you'll feel a strong sense of personal
pride knowing that you're part of the team fighting for a better
future for all Americans.

While President Bush has already passed two of the largest tax
cuts in history...sparked the fastest pace of economic growth in
nearly 20 years...passed a historic Medicare prescription drug
bill...AND led our country courageously in the War on Terrorism...

...we must ALL continue to FIGHT for America's future!

And - as a Sustaining Member of the RNC, you'll be doing your
part to help President Bush further his agenda to strengthen the
Economy, secure our Homeland, safeguard Social Security, and win the
War on Terrorism.

We've done so much in the past year!
"Way too much already."

I know you're as proud about what we've accomplished as I am.
But now is not the time to rest. It's the time to build, and the
decision you must make is simply this:

Will you stand up NOW and FIGHT for the future of America?

I hope that your answer - is YES - and that you join the RNC as a Sustaining Member today.
"My answer is YES also, but not the way they want."

Your show of support, and generous membership donation of $25.
$35. $50. $100 or more will be a strong statement of personal
support, and a pledge of commitment to the future of our country.

By standing up and joining the RNC today, you'll be doing your
part to fight for opportunity: Opportunity for yourself, and
opportunity for every American.

You see, President Bush has a bright, bold vision - one of
unity, and common purpose which draws strength from the timeless
American principles of empowerment, independence, individual

Page three

liberty, and free enterprise.

He wants you to be able to chart your own course in life,
empowered to take your own risks and succeed, rather than be caught
in a web of government dependence.
"With low paying jobs, living hand to month..."

He wants every child - regardless of the color of their skin,
regardless of their house of worship, regardless of whether they
live on a small farm or in a big city - to have the opportunity to
succeed.
"To survive even?"

But the LIBERALS don't agree with President Bush. They want
BIGGER GOVERNMENT , HIGHER TAXES, and LESS PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY!
"Huh?"

And now, they're more determined than ever to take TOTAL CONTROL of the federal government in 2004!
"YA BETCHA!!!"

Make no mistake: The liberals will stop at nothing to
undermine President Bush and his agenda for a better America.
"Naa, We follow the rules better. You need only look in a mirror to see who will stop at nothing..."

That is why I must have your support today!
"Wrong again!"

Please take a moment -RIGHT NOW- to return the enclosed RNC
Membership Acceptance Reply.
"I'll return it alright, with a picture of W. J. Clinton in it!"
Your pledge of support, along with a generous membership donation of $25. $35. $50. $100 or more, will help President Bush further his agenda to:

.Revitalize the Economy
"After 3 1/2 years he has not revitalized the Economy yet."

.Secure our Homeland
"It was secure before bu$h invaded the white House, Afghanistan, Iraq."

.Safeguard Social Security
"By privatizing it?"

.Win the War on Terrorism
"It will take generations now that bu$h&co have screwed with things."

.Build a stronger, safer, and better America
"We had one. Another job that will take generations to fix."

I think you'd agree i these are things worth fighting for. And we can make them happen - with your support.

will you join our winning team today?

to a number of privileges. By joining the RNC with a membership

2. Yep
Yesterday, they called the office to invite my boss to a fundraising dinner. They don't know my boss. They should be glad I answered the phone, because their ears would have been burned off if he had! Still don't know how they got his name.....

Today, while cashing my paycheck in the drive through, the teller looked at my sticker on the side rear window which says, "Save Our Country Vote Democratic in 2004" and said, "I agree with your bumper sticker."

Might not sound like much, but folks, we're talking Harrison AR, one of the most conservative towns in America! I haven't heard ANYONE say anything in support of Bush since last year!

10. That's great! I'm about 80 miles west of you, we used to explore Fitton's
cave just outside Harrison. A very large number of years ago. ;-)

I am seeing some, not yet enough, of that same kind of expression here.

5. It's all about the $$$$$
Edited on Fri May-28-04 07:28 PM by StandUpGuy
The RNC seems to only need money to win the election.
Interesting !

No volunteers
No envelope stuffers
No canvassers required
No polling clerks
No nothing

"We need your CASH"

"You Have no idea how much it costs to fix ..I mean Achieve the desired results"

SAD Very SAD

p.s. this real quote pretty much sums up Republican values if you ask me.

6. Absolutely lovely.
Why I no longer receive mail from the RNC and the Christian Coalition.

I do, however receive mail from Americans United for Separation of Church and state, and although a prolapsed, collapsed, whatever lapsed Catholic, not to mention an off and on again Christian (I do try to follow the teachings of Christ), this bishop in Colorado who is telling people they must vote against those in favor of abortion, of stem cell research, or be forbidden to take communion, does deserve the IRS to take a damned good look at his fanatically possessed pulpit.

Fw: AU @ctivist :: IRS Should Investigate Electioneering By Colorado Springs Catholic Diocese, Says Americans United

Sorry, a bit too old to figure out how to get this on here any other way, like, without the Fw.

I hope some of you can find it.

Got an outraged attack on political chat the other night about 527's, used by moveon.

Fire back with the rules of 501(c)3.

This does not belong in ANY church. For practicing Catholics the denial of communion is an act of terrorism. The denial of the entire purpose of the Catholic Mass will be destroyed.

Serves the Evangelical lunatics well, though. Catholics will be ostracized from their own religious meanings.

A lovely post.

8. Canada.
So far, the US does not control Canada. And although Canadian doctors are not streaming across the borders to be free of the socialistic, qualities of universal health care (socialistic, indeed? Just kick out the profits of insurance companies and hbo's and we can easily afford it.) I see Mexico as totally influenced and controlled by the US.

So Canadian.

9. in addition to mailing them your old phone book
write out a check to the DNC, MoveOn, or Sen. Kerry for one of the amounts they mentioned, xerox it & put it in the envelope, with a thank-you for reminding me why I'm voting Dem.

My friend did that for a (short) while.....they stopped sending her stuff after a few replies. :)
