Olberman: Politics of Patriotism......Bush/Kerry
Coming up soon.....they'll be doing a segment on whether either candidate wants to have their Vietnam records drudged up again.

it's very obvious from wingnuts' response to this question (summed up again the other night by the odious womanbeater John Fund) that they want to keep this one buried, cause they know how badly the chimp suffers in comparison

you KNOW that if they thought they could make hay over Kerry's opposition to war/tossing medals/attending meetings with prospective murderes, they'd be ALL over that like they've done with the successful flipflop smear

bring it on, thuglicans

meanwhile, Olberman's doing a story about the hyped AlQaeda warnings, debunking the story quite effectively so far

1. Even good old Steve Emerson called the FBI "reckless"
for spreading the AlQaeda story (90% ready to strike) in the face of its being the AlMasri Brigade (sic)

you know it/s bad if that apologist is coming down against the junta

3. NSC's Roger Cressey is on now, saying how bad this is.....
'cause how in the world will local law enforcement know what to believe, where to direct resources if those at the top haven't the slightest clue as to what's really happening

4. directly brought politics into the mix
Olberman sighs in exasperation, worry at the thought of how badly they're screwing things up....

how much easier they're making it for terrorists to get away with stuff when NOBODY is LISTENING to the little boys who cry wolf

7. Keith had some good comments tonight too. . .
on the "War on Terror" and the split between Ashcroft and Ridge over this week's latest terror warnings. The expert Keith had on said that the lack of coordination between the two agencies, and the Justice Department's reliance on less than reliable sources for their intel is counterproductive because all it does it let terrorists know that the US Government still doesn't have its act together almost three years after 9/11. Keith didn't even try to hide his disgust--it was great! God, I wish more people would start watching his show-it's brilliant.

but I've seen Keith take some jabs at the Democrats too. He seems very fair and eve-handed. God, what a concept-a fair-minded journalist!
