I am sick of excuses from the right for bush's butchery of the English language. If you were wrongly accused of murder, would you hire an attorney who couldn't communicate effectively? So why do people think it's OK to have a president who cannot effectively communicate to the country and to the world; who cannot respond to questions from our "crack" White House press corps without stammering, without making blatant grammatical errors, without saying something blatantly WRONG, POLITICALLY INSENSITIVE, or just plain STUPID?

I'll never forget when I heard bush use the term "crusade" in 2001 when describing the fight against terrorism. It horrified me that this "leader" was so grossly uneducated that he would use that term.
