Heads Up, DUers with packages for Michael's Unit in Iraq
Michael emailed me this morning. He is still at Abu Ghraib. The unit will be there for a couple more months, he found out, and wont be leaving yet, they just changed thr orders on them.
Therefore, those of you who have packages for him and the other guys in the unit, please send them to the address you have, Michael says.
Hurry up and wait, it seems, is the scenario there, and Michael said
"Its okay to send mail for a couple months, so please do"

I have boxes waiting too, so, I am sending mine on Tuesday, now that I know I can send them.
Anyway, thats whats going on, and Im a little relieved his unit hasnt been sent south.

Thank you for your patience with the Department of Defense jacking the units around in all this, one day they are there, the next they say they wont be, then they change their minds.

So go ahead and send any packages you have for him and he is sending more names of unit folks soon now that he knows he is there for a couple more months.

1. Mari,
So glad he can still e-mail. I was very concerned over the recent rumor that the troops might not be allowed to e-mail any more. Was that rumor totally bogus? I hope so but a friend of mine who has a niece and nephew over there sort of confirmed it the other night, saying her family hadn't heard from those kids since the prisoner scandal broke.

Any way, again. . .glad you heard from him.
