Remember the Dean speech
Edited on Sun May-30-04 09:40 AM by dsc
Remember how so many people thought it was perfectly OK to lie about him and his speech. Now they are doing it to Gore (again). I tried to tell them the press wouldn't stop at Dean. I was called deluded, bitter, partisan, and flat out wrong. Well who is wrong now? Some people who wonder why the press thinks they can do this should look in mirrors. Because those who cheered when they did it to Dean have no right to complain now. Not a single, solitary right.

1.  Now they are doing it to Gore?
What was that in 2000? Every lie they said about him was true then?

3. the corporate press is very hostile to Gore and Dean and a few others
Some Democrats get fair coverage by the corporate media in general but a few - recently, especially Gore and Dean - get mercilessly attacked from both the "conservative" and "liberal" sides. As far as I can tell it must be because Gore and Dean are telling the truth, what the media calls a "gaffe".

4. That's funny, I don't see the Gore speech on 24-7
I don't hear Gore screaming on the radio. On the nightly news. On the late-night comedy hours. There's a few washed up talking heads spouting off about it, but it's not getting the all-out treatment like the breakdown Dean had.

5. Gore isn't running for office now
or else it would have. Every pundit on every news show I have seen has roundly panned the Gore speech.

6. Look around.
Some are still trying to peddle the propaganda. Notice the similarities:

1. Mentally disturbed, unfit.
2. Their political futures are now in doubt.
3. De-contextualization.
4. Substance ignored.

Now ask "Who gained/s by this interpretation?"
