The WW2 Memorial was hatched by a liberal
This is something to point out to your right-wing friends regarding the patriotism of liberals.

The person who spearheaded this project in Congress and fought to keep it alive was Congresswoman Marcie Kaptur, a Democrat from Ohio, and one of the most progressive and liberal members of the Democratic Party on most issues (aside from abortion).

1. Kaptur is awesome in other respects too
One of the finest dems in Ohio. Yes she's old school sorta, she's my kinda dem, the ethnic dem.
