Another "Pray For Bush" Web Site
Pray for President Bush
Praying for George W. Bush and America

http://www.prayforgeorgewbush.com/pages/236635/index.htm

"Prayforgeorgewbush.com is a non-denominational, non-partisan ministry dedicated to lifting up President George W. Bush in Prayer as he serves this country as President of the United States. For over two years, God-fearing Americans have gathered to lift up the man whom God has placed in the office of the Presidency (Romans 13:1 "Everyone must submit to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those that exist are instituted by God."-HCSB™). During this time of national triumph and tragedy, we have seen God work in marvelous ways in the life our our country and its president.
If you would like to let us know that you are praying for President Bush, please visit our daily prayer section by clicking on the tab to the left marked "Daily Prayers". Read our current prayer suggestions by clicking on "Action Items" to the left. And, see the basis for our coming to the Lord in prayer by clicking on "Key Scriptures."

"Daily Prayers
Each day, since September of 2000, we have lifted up our President, George W. Bush, and those around him, in prayer. During this time, public prayers have been posted on the Free Republic website. For the most recent prayer, and a listing of previous days in our prayer drive, please Click Here. If you would like to add your prayers to our daily prayer postings, please see Free Republic for posting details.

NOTE: Since Free Republic is a public forum, and the prayforgeorgewbush.com management does not desire to become distracted by unnecessary argument, occasionally, some views expressed on the prayer thread may not reflect those of the prayforgeorgewbush.com prayer leaders.

God Bless You, God Bless America, and God Bless President George W. Bush!"

3. Sounds non-partisan enough
"Prayforgeorgewbush.com is a non-denominational, non-partisan ministry dedicated to lifting up President George W. Bush in Prayer as he serves this country as President of the United States."

Oh, Wait, forgot this part:
"If you would like to add your prayers to our daily prayer postings, please see Free Republic for posting details. "

7. "...the man whom God has placed in the office of the Presidency..."
...I guess that cancels out the freepers, eh? I thought brother Jebby placed him in the office of the Presidency, but today we've all learned that it was God.

17. It had to be God...

The American people certainly didn't elect him. BTW, ever notice how much Judge Rhenquist looks like God? Amazing resemblance. (/sarcasm). :grr:

4. How are these people going to justify their lack of submission
to the governmental authority of Kerry, when Bush is sent back to Crawford? I bet you they will find another Bible verse to justify criticizing him like they did Clinton.

I have no respect for these zealots. None at all.

5. WTF is this...
(Romans 13:1 "Everyone must submit to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those that exist are instituted by God."-HCSB™).

I wondering if this same website was available for Bill Clinton's benefit?

Seriously... I thought the divine right of kings was done away with half a millenium ago?

These people are truly whack-jobs.

9. I'm sure they went to a Web Site like "Bible Gateway"...
...where you can search for keywords in scripture, and did a search on the word "submit," and picked their favorite.

Because that's what it's all about, right? Be in a constant state of fear, submit to the God-appointed president who is protecting you, and CONSUME.

20. I do too.
I pray daily that Boy George goes back to Southfork Ranch (or whatever he calls his pig farm) & takes his posse of freaks with him, never to be heard from again.

12. I know a black woman who is pentecostal and a strong democrat
In 2000, she said she counseled blacks who were getting RW arguments from their ministers.

She also had a lot of humorous stories about her experiences doing door-to-door campaigning for Gore.

She would say to people who told her they were republicans and voting for W, 'Don't worry dear, God loves republicans too.'

16. Oh goody, they're throwing out Bible quotes!
Here's a few they'd forgotten about:

Ecclesiasticus 13:3-8 (1)
Ecclesiasticus 13:16, 18-23 (1)
Ecclesiasticus 20:1
1 Timothy 6:10
Matthew 5:44
Matthew 7:1
Matthew 25:37-40
Luke 6:31
Luke 17:21

(1) The New Jerusalem Bible, Doubleday Publishing, 1989. This is the fun part about organized religion. So many people have translated the original texts in so many ways, no two versions are alike. Then there's the validity of the "original" text to consider...

God bless the world. NO EXCEPTIONS.

19. The King James Version is the official fundy Bible.
Personally, I find it completely unreadable, and why anyone would consider an early 17th translation to be the authoritative one completely escapes me.

23. Only the Hebrew should be taken as accurate
And if accuraccy isn't completely necessary, the Greek. If it is even less important, the Vulgate. Otherwise, go with a native language translation.

22. "Well over 325 people have pledged to pray ...
for President George W. Bush, at least once a day, each day."

So their movement is taking the country by storm!

I really agree * needs our prayers. But right now I'm busily praying for the other six billion people on the planet. Can't we start a website like

http://www.prayfordeliverancefromgeorgewbush.com

to help? I think more than 325 people might sign up ...
