Double desecration of D-Day |
|
Edited on Sat Jun-05-04 04:46 PM by gulliver
Will the Normandy war dead be spinning in their graves tomorrow? I'm bracing myself for the worst. As I write this, the Bushies are probably furiously trying to merge the D-Day speech with a tribute to Reagan. What soaring heights of gall and political opportunism will be reached?
Bush, a man who avoided serving in a war he supported will pay tribute to Reagan, a man who played a soldier in movies. And it will all happen on the anniversary of the deaths of thousands of the truly courageous. Will Bush smirk? Will he say corremorate instead of commemorate? What perfect storm of nausea awaits us tomorrow?

1. I was just asking my husband if there is someplace we |

can escape to tomorrow. I'll hate missing the D-Day tributes, but I can't stomach that chicken-shit chickenhawk trying act like a big boy when he is nothing but a coward and the idiot dauphin. Trying to merge all of that with a life review of RR, mentioning only the positive stuff, is just too much for me.
