Request links/facts to debate Reagan "legacy"
I need some info to mount effective arguments about the Reagan years. I'm up against some pretty blockheaded Reaganphiles who won't listen to reason. I need to bury them in facts. Help me please! ;)

2. there are some middle of the roaders...
... who are on the fence about Reagan. My hope is that I can reach them before they fall to the dark side. :)

6. Go get em

Ronald Reagan's Criminal Administration:

Ronald Reagan's Cabinet

"By the end of his term, 138 Reagan administration officials had been convicted, had been indicted, or had been the subject of official investigations for official misconduct and/or criminal violations. In terms of number of officials involved, the record of his administration was the worst ever."

Much more here

8. Just do what I've been doing.
I've been saying "Yeah, well, I wouldn't wish death on anyone, but you're probably too young to remember him selling arms to Iran, using the money to fund an insurgency against the elected government in Nicaragua, getting everyone to lie about it and going to his grave unpunished."

Ignoring the AIDS epidemic, setting back social programs forty years... yeah, google is your friend. It's impossible to avoid the fact he was one of the most reprehensible presidents in modern history. The only possible upside to his presidency was that whole "crazy" thing might've made other countries think he was just nuts enough to push The Button -- might've helped in negotiations on things -- but even that's a stretch to get to a positive thing.

I won't dance on his grave or anything, but I think there have been plenty of presidents I'd mourn more.
