Best bumper sticker I've seen so far in Campaign 2004.
I saw this one on a car zipping down Route 128 yesterday during rush hour.

I laughed all the way home!

1. Where did you see it?

I saw a similar one in Minnesota last month.

<On edit, I assume Route 128 is in Mass -- Patriots logo>

2. Sorry... Route 128 surrounds the Boston area.
Shoulda been more specific.

Valdemort is the evil wizzard. Any bells ringing now?

14. Well, you're an ADULT, right?
Was there some mandate from the President that we all must watch the latest high-budget special effects-ridden corporate kiddie flick under penalty of law?

I guess I missed that memo, too.

18. No, but the books are wonderful. By the bye, Voldemort isn't even in
the latest movie except for one mention of his name...

27. Not entirely true...
Voldemort's phantom manifested in the back of Quirrell's head in Sorcerer's Stone (that's Philosopher's Stone to our UK visitors), and Harry confronted a young Voldemort, aka Tom Riddle, in Chamber of Secrets. However, the full-fledged version doesn't show up until Book 4.

19. Actually it's not bad fiction..
Thematically it's in line with most "Orphan rises above adversity and does good" stories. Similar to early parts of Arthurian legends and Star Wars. It will probably soon land on bookshelves next to "Huckleberry Finn" and "Catcher in the Rye" i.e. banned for content.

24. Opinion of a 10-year old: "those books weren't stupid"
courtesy of Salon on-line magazine (year 2000):
http://archive.salon.com/books/feature/2000/03/03/harry_potter/

(snip)
Since Harry Potter first flew into the American landscape a little more than a year ago, the unassuming lad and his rags-to-riches author have received accolades ranging from the distinguished (the UK's National Book Award, the Smarties Prize and so on) to the barely heard (my 10-year-old neighbor, who told me in an awed voice, "Those books weren't stupid"). Along with the praise came millions of dollars handed over by ecstatic children and equally ecstatic parents thrilled to be paying for anything with an intellectual range greater than Pokémon. The books were, everyone agreed, clever and funny and magical, and how nice that they were making a lot of money.
(snip)
The backlash was inevitable...At first glance, nothing here would seem offensive, especially given the comic tone of the books... But in today's hypersensitive cultural climate, anything can be found to have some offensive elements -- you just have to look hard enough.
(snip)

much more...

20. The Potter books aren't crap at all.
I resisted the craze at first as well, and the first two movies are shit, but the books are really good. They're really well written and they introduce kids to other classic fiction. But at least you like it under your rock.

In the books they call him "he who should not be named", because he's too evil. I think that could definately apply to Bush. I like that!
