Did Rush Limbaugh radio show contribute to the military culture in Iraq?
We all know how Rush likes to ridicule and de-humanize his opponents. A caller to C-SPAN this morning suggested that Rush may have had a part in the torture tales from that country. After all, young people's minds are quite malleable and they are open to the subliminal suggestions of racists like Rush Limbaugh. So her point may not be as invalid as some might think? The military should take a new look at permitting such garbage to be broadcast to our troops - who are fighting for our entire nation, not just the right-wing Republican Party.

3. Maybe...But he was a monster created by BFEE I......
I hate to think of "monsters to be" we have created in the last few years. I seriously doubt most of troops will get any treatment for their psychological wounds. Also how can a person go back to society when you have dehumanized other humans? How will they treat their spouses and family?

2. You give pigboy too much power
Also another scapegoat for *.
Also why is the answer to censor?I would tend to think
to better educate our troops about the truth behind * would be much more effective then giving rush more attention /power then he has.
Perfect example of this is Oreilly getting into it with Al about his book. That did do anything but sell more books for Al (keep it up o lie ly.)

6. Why would you want the military to be politicized by either party?
He needs to bew removed from Armed Forces Radio. I could give a shit if he stays on the air in America but not on Armed Forces Radio

8. No one dislikes El Drugbo more than I, but...
I am not opposed to having him on the air as long as there are alternatives..Why should the principles of this country change just because they are in the military and are away??

9. The principles of this country have always been a military that is totally
out of the political arena. It is a military for all Americans not just the Republican Party and it should remain that way and not be hijacked by radical propagandists.

10. Good point, kentuck -- it's totally out of bounds for hate radio...
to be broadcast to our troops in harm's way in Iraq. Our country, and our troops, are, I pray, better than Rush.
