I'm kinda curious: did Osama make a statement about Reagan's death? |
|
Ronald Reagan was the second best friend Islamic insurgents ever had.
As part of his mission to bring down the Soviet Union, Reagan's strategy was to arm and train Muslim insurgents to fight a super power proxy war in Afghanistan. He often lauded the brave muhajaddin, fighting the atheist Soviets in Afghanistan -- they were among his beloved "freedom fighters" against Communism. Of course, one of these was Osama, known as Tim Osman, a Saudi friend of his Vice President's, back then.
Ronald Reagan was probably the biggest patron that Osama ever had. He's got to have at least mixed feelings about the passing of his patron, if not outright sadness.
Just askin'.
