(CAN) Why are the New Conservatives running such wierd ads?

The CBC has been carrying political advertising (as per the law - normally there's no ads whatsover) and some of the Conservative (or whatever they're called this week) ads are downright wierd.

The first one was a snarky, skanky-sounding woman talking about tax breaks for families - in the background you could hear at least three runny-nose brats screaming. That's their target audience??

The latest featured what sounded like an old "character actor" who's smoked waaaay too many cigarettes (That's their target audience??). I still haven't figured out what he was going on about.

Where are they finding these people?
