1. I spared myself the agony. |

Listened to CSPAN Washington Journal a bit this morning. Grover Norquist was on. :puke: :puke: :puke:
Turned off the tube shortly after Brian Lamb told people to fuck off.

6. I haven't watched it either |

I disliked Reagan's policies but am sad that one of our former Presidents has died. Other than that, I really don't give a hoot. I'd prefer to spend my time reminding people what a bad leader Reagan was.

7. I listened on NPR and decided W is the worst speaker I've ever heard. |
|
He pauses after noun, verb, period. Simple little sentences. He pauses like he's waiting for us to catch up with his prolific words of simplicity. The best speaker was the Canadian, now that was moving and from the heart. Then the first time I heard the word EVIL come out of dumbya's mouth I turned off the radio. I'd love to find out how many times Reagan said EVIL compared to Bush. He can't talk without mentioning the word. It's the most over used word from this administration. Dr. Evil! ewww...I'm scared. Evil is coming to get me, those damn evil middle Eastern brown people. The mania of evil in the 21st century is amazing to me. We have not evolved that much from the Salem trials or Inquisitions.

11. This'll get flamed but I must say it: He was our President |

this is a funeral for a President. As ineffectual he may have been as president and as bad as his politics and actions were, America is not going to just dump reagan into the ground and let it be. he will be given the pomp and circumstance expected of an ex-president.
Also, he was loved by his mother, father and other family members. he is a father, a son, a grandfather? and a close friend to others.
I do not like him, I did not like his politics, but he was deeply loved by others who are saying their goodbye. let them.
The sickening part is Bush co. trying to get a ratings boost out of it.
Remember the Republican right during the Wellstone Funeral? Let them roll in the mud, we don't have to.
