Bury Reagan AND the BFEE – Ancient Ancestor Style (rant).
Bury the BFEE with Reagan. Repeat and rerun. Use the royal Ronnie send-off as a chance to dump the BFEE once and for all.

How can we dump the Bush Organized Crime Family with all the noise from the multi-million-dollar taxpayer financed made-for-TV movie about The Great Confabulator? Well, we make like jiu-jitsu masters and use the momentum of the 2004 Ronnie Farewell Tour to our advantage.

Remember what ancient people would do when the king died? Before they sealed the royal burial mound, they’d toss in the entire royal household, court, and trade-mart. Who can not be impressive in the afterlife when guarded by wives, concubines, ministers, priests, calico cats, royal hound dogs, and anyone and anything else.

Well. There you go, again. The parallels to today should be to all (including the dimmest freeper) obvious. I propose we toss in the BFEE leadership: Poppy, Sneer, Smirk, Crisco, Rumsferatu, CatmanFrist, BugBoy DeLay, Pearl Harbor Perle, Comblicking Wolfowitz, Ollie the Traitor, Rev. JerryMoonRobertson, Rushblow, and all the rest of the scum that make up the American branch of the BFEE.

Perhaps in this way, the nation could use the royal Ronnie send off as the just the right chance to dump the conservative (and now neo-conservative) movement and its regressive Tory legacy of debt, divisiveness and death. And I don’t want to see any of THAT in the afterlife, either!

I saw Captain Beefheart sing in Zappa's band at the Armadillo World Headquarters in Austin. Two nights of some of the greatest music ever witnessed immortalized in the live recording from that gig, "Bongo Fury".

Back to your point, and it's a good one. I have been thinking that the overkill of hegiographic excesses both turned off centrists with a brain, and the bubbling under the surface grumblings about raygun's legacy of criminality and treason caused the real issues to be re evaluated. And in the light of the current bushlerco abomination, tying the two together, as they should be, could be the final undoing of their scam. Keep turning the rocks over and people eventually have to admit the theocons are sociopathological maniacs and need to be retired from duty.

2. You, sniff, understand completely.
Thanks, DenverDem, for the report on the Bongo Fury recordings. I'd allow my entire freak flag to fall out on the barbershop floor or bathroom sink, I don't care which, to have been at that concert. Sam with the Showing Scalp Flat Top, Poofters Froth Wyoming, and all the other songs. Historic! Thank you for sharing, DU Friend!

Regarding the BFEE. Oh, yeah. You understand, totally. The thing is we need to remind some of those stuck in the middle to think about how crappy things have become. Those who remember Reagan, remember that the public schools were better for them than their kids. Those who remember John F. Kennedy, remember the public schools were better then than under Reagan. We need to change the future. A million thanks for your semiotic sympathties in regards to the crazy monkey klan.

3. Bury the BFEE with Reagan
No offense intended:

Use the state funeral as a perfect opportunity to toss in the riff-raff of the BFEE, sort of as a ritual sacrifice kick.
