Stern website: Howard is more influential in this election than Pillboy... |
|
"Howard read a great report in the paper to start off the show. It turns out that people are crediting him with John Kerry's upswing in the polls. Nation wide, 17% of the people planning on voting in the presidential election listen to the Howard Stern show. Of those 17%, 1 out of 4 of them hasn't decided how they will vote in the election. That means 4% of the voting public is undecided and listens to the Howard Stern show, meaning Howard has a lot of power over the swing votes, an incredible benefit to Kerry. This makes Howard much more influential in this election than Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity, since a vast majority of their listeners already know how they will vote - republican. Howard is on the air every day telling his listeners his mission is to get Bush out of office and he plans on delivering the votes to do it."

1. Stern Isn't To My Personal Taste But One Can See Why |
|
others like him.
SOMEBODY has to do the scatological, sophmoric humor thing.
Stern is pretty darn smart.
Glad he's on our side.
Wish his website wasn't dark, dark gray.

(ok friends of Voltaire) I don't agree with what you say but will defend until death your right to say it. Go, Howard.

Than most of the Dems in congress...I have done a 360 on my opinion of Howard Stern in the last four months.
He is the only mainstream radio voice doing anything for the Dem candidate in this election cycle and when it comes to bush he holds no quarter.
He may be crude but I have a ton of respect for the man!

5. stern is most DEFINITELY an asset |
|
to kerry and the dems now. and bushco. knew he would be, that's why they're trying to take him down (ie, clear channel and viacom)...
like him or not (i think he's rather offensive) he's effective, and he has a following -- and if he's gonna help us -- i'll take him.
keep up the good work howard!

I have listened to him on WJFK in DC and he has really hit Bush hard on the FCC, environmental issues and the religious zealotry of the far right...he really nailed a congress women from New Mexico over the course of a week.
I fully expect Howard to be all over PigBoy's 4th divorce this week.
Stern isn't someone we want out there on MSNBC touting our ideals, but if he can inspire a core of his audience to look at going with John Kerry then that is great.
Stern may actually help us win this election.

9. I've always liked Stern |
|
He does sophmoric humor, yes it's true, but he's always talked about politics and current events on his show. He's always been pro-choice, for gay marriage, and anti-fundy. It's really no surprise he's backing Kerry.
And not all of his homor is sophmoric.
People like Howard because he's honest. They trust him.
