My GOD O'Reilly is a douchebag.
So apparently Blotchy Bill is mad, mad, MAD that world leaders didn't drop everything so they could fly to Washington to felate Reagan's corpse with the rest of America's conservative fringe. Apparently, that some heads of state cannot afford to take month-long vacations and actually have to run their countries just doesn't sit well with O'Reilly, probably because that kind of leadership doesn't exist in this country. Hear, hear! Shame on Chirac for not attending the Reagan funeral! He was in Georgia! Couldn't he have made time? And Vicente Fox! I thought he traded boots with Dubya? But apparently, he can't be bothered to attend a state funeral for a former president that he never met nor worked with. For shame! I'm no history major (actually I am) but were any of the major world leaders associates of Reagan? No? Then why the FUCK would they come to his funeral? Jesus Tap-dancing Christ! This man's hatred of everything and every one "furrin'" is LIMITLESS!

26. it's not "stupid"
Complaining about a congregation at a funeral is tasteless, and proves that the man was virtually raised in a cave with regards to manners.

What is irritating you so badly is that this horrible, ill-mannered man is on your TV; nothing is worse than trashy people with money.

I haven't had cable for a while, and almost never watched him when I did. It seems like he, and the rest of "them" are in some fantasy world. Things are changing, the people are changing their minds about bush - and the self-annointed still carry on as if the nation stops three times a day to worship Cap'n Moron and the felonious five. A rude awakening awaits.

Actually, Bull O'Splotchyliardouchebag and his professional enablers are merely following their favorite fearless leader role model, Gee Duhbya, who's gonna that course no matter what.

16. Is O'Reilly the heir apparent to the late Morton Downey Jr?
For those youngsters who don't remember (from CNN archives, no longer active so I'm taking a couple of liberties in presenting more):

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Morton Downey Jr., the chain-smoking, combative
talk-show host who reined over so-called "Trash TV" in the 1980s, has died, his daughter Tracey said Monday night. He was 67.
--snip--
Downey, who lost a lung to cancer in 1996, was known for deliberately
blowing smoke into the faces of guests who annoyed him. After his cancer surgery, however, he spent his final years as an anti-smoking advocate.
--snip--
In his heyday, he was known as "Mort the Mouth," who mocked his sometimes bizarre guests, calling them "slime" or "scumbucket."
He reveled in shouting matches with members of his studio audience, as well, and often dismissed liberals as "pablum pukers."

He said later he took things too far.

"It got out of control because the producers ... wanted me to top myself every night," he said in the early 1990s. "If I did something outlandish on Monday night, on Tuesday night, we'd have to think of something even more outlandish. And after awhile, you work yourself toward the edge of the trampoline and you fall off. I fell off a number of times and I found it very displeasing."

That effort to top himself every night led to perhaps the biggest
embarrassment of his career when he claimed neo-Nazi skinheads attacked him in San Francisco, cutting off his hair and painting a swastika on his head.

Authorities could never verify the attack, and Downey's critics pounced, calling it a publicity stunt.

Still, Downey was proud of many aspects of "The Morton Downey Jr. Show."

He took credit for creating the talk-show format embraced today by Jerry Springer and others like him, although he said he never went as far in his day as Springer does.

"Everyone says, 'Well, Springer's doing your show now,"' Downey told an interviewer in 1998. "That's not true. I didn't do sleaze. There were times that I did things that were a little sleazy, but I didn't do shows on myneighbor's collie dog having sex with my neighbor's wife."

Although sometimes outrageous, he defended his show as giving a forum to
working-class Americans who were fed up with what politicians in Washington,
D.C., were doing with their tax money.

"It isn't the rich people who come up and say, 'Oh Mort, you're just
great,"' Downey one said. "It's the blacks and the ethnics and the blue collars, those guys with too much hair on their shoulder blades. They want some answers."

23. Even before Downey
back in the 60s or so was Joe Pyne and Alan Burke. They were right-wing wackos, but the subject matter wasn't politics. It leaned more toward UFOs and other stuff. They'd have guests on, then attack them and make them look like idiots.

29. His audiences would get pretty rowdy
sorta like a pre-Jerry Springer. I remember chairs would fly, and didn't Morton get a black eye once?

It use to be funny stuff to watch because back then the Republican's didn't spew 24/7 hatred. So Morton was more of a novelty and a publicity stunt. Nowadays, it is purposeful in promoting hatred toward anything left leaning and from that it is deliberate to keep the simple minded from trying to think for themselves.

22. Were these leaders even invited?
Supposedly this was the toughest 'ticket' to get in DC history. I can't imagine Chirac even got an invite.

However, if any of them did get invited, I'm kinda with O'Reilly on this, especially if they are in the country. The death (or election for that matter) of a US president is a worldwide event. I realize how ethnocentric that sounds, but let's not downplay how much the US does and has done for these countries...especially European.

24. Reagan's death after decades of dementia a worldwide event???
I mean... come onnnnnn.....!!!!

If you really realized "how ethnocentric that sounds" perhaps you would have hesitated before writing that stuff.

How many funerals of East-European/African/Middle-Eastern/Asian/Polynesian/South American leaders have our Presidents attended???

What makes us so important?

And Reagan, of all people. I'm just amazed half the world didn't fly over hear just to piss on his grave.

30. O'Reilly/Scarborough Rivalry? Snake Vs. Cobra
Last night I was watching the mad intern maven on MessyNBC...first, he had Gene Lyons and Harry Tomasson on...with NO other Repugnican to turn the interview into a mudfest. They actually gave a very good preview of "Hunting Of A President"...I'm looking forward to seeing that one just as much as Fahrenheit 911.

Then Joeboy did a bit on the Moore movie. I was expecting a complete hatchet job, but he was rather tame on this one, too...no calls for a boycott or how the movie is full of lie (without him even seeing it).

Next. he had an entertainment reporter on...she was doing the Red Carpet thing at the NYC debut...including an interview with Moore who all but called Scarborough a murderer on the show! Joeboy then said he'd gladly take more on in a one hour 1 on 1 debate...ya know, I wouldn't mind seeing that. There were also shots of the "usual suspects"...Tim Robbins, Franken and other "libruls" walking in to see the flick.

Then, low and behold, the reporter spots O'Reilly in the crowd...brings the camera crew over and does an ambush job on the Spinmeister General. She asks what he's doing here...and O'Reilly fakes that he's waiting to see Shrek II. Yeah, right! Then Joeboy makes a snide remark about "no spinning". Wouldn't it be fun to see these wingnut icons get into a pissing match...just another tree falling in the Rove woods.

31. Reagan was a WAR CRIMINAL
I can totally understand why many many world leaders would not want to embarrass themselves by "paying tribute" to Reagan.

Think of the millions of deaths, some by chemical weapons, Reagan is responsible for in Iran and Iraq alone. And that's only the direct responsibility. There's also the indirect responsibility for 9/11, for having created a worldwide army of Jihadists.

But of course Oreilly is just a lying liar, and a blotchy one at that.

That after you get past all the boot licking he was a lousy President who took joy in kicking the feet out from under the working class. Maybe that's why they didn't attend?

Umm..BTW Bill, aren't you an Independent??????? Why would you give a RATS ASS about a Republican? Shouldn't you be using your bully pulpit to showcase Independents and their ideology's??

Independent my fucking ass.....
