first time watching in over a week. katrina kept coming out with truth and tweety would shut her up fast. she is a smart lady, i like her, she is tough and fast and tweety was having a blast hand up in front of her and bringing in repug to mouth talking point. was amazing would love to see her on more. think she is too good for these dudes though. i really dont think tweety likes this woman, he has women issue, if it is a nooney swooney kinda gal he is all over her.

She was sinking Jeffreys(?) everytime she opened her mouth, then Tweety would talk over her to "move on" to the next B$ question. What an ass he is.
She could have put a variety of those questions to bed, but she was never given a full chance. She didn't seem to be in a fighting mood tonight, though, and I've seen her when she'll literally shout down the other side. In some ways I'd say she was having a rough day (don't we all) and let it go.
Tweety is still a dimwit, though. :-)

3. What is it with Chris Mathews |
|
Sometimes I think he is OK, but other times he doesn't show where he stands. Absolutely disrespectful, he interrupted his guest so badly, it send shills down my spine. Disgusting!!!
I never know, but that's for sure he is never neutral!
So where does this guy stand?

...for Tweety, as far as I can guess. He wants to seem "impartial" but IMHO, he bungles it repeatedly.
Now, if he let Katrina V-H host the show for him during his next absence, he'd be back on my "wicked cool" list. ;-)

2. I think she consistently does a bad job. |
|
I know many here really like her and I like her politics. However, she always falls for the bait and allows herself to be taken off message.

Sometimes she does what you mention, and allows herself to be taken off message. But there have been shows where I've been amazed by her ability to fight in the trenches and out-shout the latest GOP minion. It goes hot/cold with her, but I certainly think she is right to attempt it, and I respect her for her guts. She's trying to get the progressive viewpoint out there, and I'm okay with that.
Edited for rogue commas who infiltrated while I wasn't looking.

that is what was so interesting with the show last night, and she can be drawn away, and sometimes she isnt on it like she was last night. last night what amazed me so she was right on it, and like someone above said, she could have put a lot of it to rest, and tweety wouldnt allow.
they had like three segs, so was good and i watched her. her pursed lips, eyes close a tad, almost a glare lol, and everytime; he literally shut her up. she would go to a face and look beyond tweety. the further into the show she was eyeing someone behind tweety. wasnt sure what it was about.
and then, at the end tweety smirk.......he shows a lot to how he purposely directs and he was feeling proud of himself, in an almost evil kinda way, put her in her place
my thought with the feel of that, with ny times and others coming out saying obsurdity of media complacency, and this whole reagan thing.
one more point. the man before he was a repug i didnt catch who. talked reagan and said myth tax cut dude and how it worked. i now know 81 tax cut and 82 to 84 four tax increases, to original or higher tax. they know this. and they left this out, and said how it fixed the economy. blantant lieing and misrepresentation, on his show just previous to katrina coming out.

9. he was a real prick Monday |
|
He looked like hell, with bags under his eyes. And he was horrible to Katrina in a most offensive and sexist way. She would start answering a question and he would talk over her and move to Terry, as if to say "the little woman doesn't know squat, let's let the men talk."
I was infuriated by it.
I think for one thing he was irritated by criticism of the Reagan marathon he had indulged in all the prior week. He doesn't take criticism well.
But I also think he'd been on a bender or something. A lost weekend perhaps.
