WHY Are They So Evil?
This is the question I just can't answer.

Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, ect.

They're all rich. They're all powerful. They all have everything they could ever want in life.

Why are they so evil?

WHY do they just keep wanting to systematically destroy everything?

Isn't money enough for them?

Isn't power enough for them?

WHY do they WANT to ruin people's lives?

Is it just something that one isn't going to understand unless they become super wealthy and super powerful themself?

I don't get it.

2. They're sociopaths
or people who have figured out that hanging with the sociopaths is the way to wealth and power.

If wealth and power are your true religion, then "too much is not enough."

You could ask the same question about any dictator or predatory business mogul.

3. Better question...
...Why do people follow such an obviously evil group so blinbly?

I remember arguing with a guy about Bush's school incident during 9/11. He's reasoning for Bush's behavior was he didn't want to scare the kids. He. Didn't. Want. To Scare. The Kids. So the world's going to hell in a handbasket and Bush is worried about hurting some children's feelings???
Actually, when he said that, all I could think of was Bush doing a George Costanza impression by knocking kids and little old ladies over like there was a fire :D

4. My mother the former kindergarten teacher
poo-poohed that excuse. She says he could have just told the children that something important had come up and he had to take care of it.

6. Why was Hitler evil?
There is no answer tothis question.

Evil must be RESISTED, that's all you have to know about Imperial Family and their Monstrous Emissaries.

They Just Are (evil). It's up to the rest of us to recognize it and fight it as if our lives depend on it, because they do.

10. Damned good question . .
Throughout history the Genghis Khans have always known that there are two ways to gain immense wealth and power.

Dominate foreign countries and peoples and take their resources for your own use. That's imperialism.

The other way is to dominate your own nation and people and take their resources for your own use.

Political systems will always be susceptible to the forces of natural selection and like any animal - those who dominate in both areas will eventually gain control.

Today we call those people neo-cons.

22. A complete lack of empathy-perfect.
Nothing is real but their ideology.

You have to see that it's real people that are before you that you are sending to die and see them akin to yourself. To have remorse. To have guilt, to have second thoughts, to think. To want to do better. To feel shame. To appologize. To be able to change and evolve.

None of which any of them seem remotely capable.

12. They do not know they are evil,
they unquestioningly believe they are right and must correct everyone else. People like this when you get into an argument with them can only see their side and will not hear yours. We used to say that they were "convinced". Not deep thinkers either, never to question themselves. Lack of brains. example, bush, reagan

14. Personality disorder
The sooner people can understand narcissists, authoritarians, fanatics, greed overweening ambition, manipulative con men, dominator's who do all the kinds of compulsive behavior traits that make a person into an untrustworthy a bully are-mentally sick, flawed personalities, morally bankrupted, unsafe, irrational insane individuals the better off the rest of us who exist without the compulsion to make everyone obey, who don't want to control the world will be.Because we will learn not to trust in bullies posing as strong men with moral character who want to discipline us like a mean abusive father figure.
With sociopaths in control no one grows up.

16. the bad thing about them
is that once they're in the sandbox, you're still stuck with a crazy person in your sandbox making things bad for everyone. They are doing what works for them -- if the technique DIDN'T work, they would not use it. Personally, I am in favor of a "time in" (as opposed to time-out): speaking from experience, when the crazy bully invades your sandbox, put down your toys for moment, fill your bucket with sand, clobber the sonuvabitch over the head with it and chase him back out. That technique works too.

17. Orwell said the people at the top are the most brainwashed of all.
Well, it was actually a character 1984 talking about Oceania's oppressive culture, but it seems appropriate here as well.

I think many of these people are intensely dogmatic and ideological. They don't see the actual, concrete, real life consequences of the policies they promote. They certainly never FEEL those consequences.

To them, it's all academic.

20. They are filled with self-hatred
(which they disown) and project it on to the world around them. People who are truly strong, secure and confident have no need to dominate those around them.

All bullies are weak, insecure people and need to oppress others to feel strong.
