Breaking Greenpeace story - read this
Edited on Tue Jun-15-04 11:17 AM by WilliamPitt
Greenpeace has a 3 ton yellow container blocking a logging road in the forests of Southern Oregon. There is one activist locked to the outside and three more inside. They have satellite internet and are blogging from inside the container. Here's the url:

I don't know how long they will be there; in fact they might have been arrested already.

I can't tell, but it doesn't sound like they've been arrested.

5. Guess it's their way of marketing themselves and stuff that I could never
quite appreciate / I think their goals are on target though.
But the *give us money* aspect is always a bit bold.

8. Why? The Greenpeace organization has saved whales while
risking possible death. They are totally committed to environmental protection.

11. I gather that you prefer clearcuts
and taxpayer funded defoliation.

Your contempt for attempts to preserve a small percent of this national treasure is appalling.

12. The loggers will just kill more trees in retaliation
The will probably use this as an excuse to build another road to get to the trees and kill a bunch more innocent trees in the process.
