C-SPAN caller -- October surprise |
|
Did anyone else here that caller during the first portion of the program talking about having been in Baghdad with an NGO recently. Said she had stayed in that hotel (forgot its name) and had heard that CNN purchased documents from some general which linked AQ and Saddam. That CNN plans to release these documents before the election in the fall. Does this sound plausible?

2. "Purchased" information? Yeah, that's credible. Especially if it |
|
is ever proven that they had it for months before strategically releasing it prior to the election.

3. documents produced by the u.s.? a no brainer |
|
that's the oldest trick in the book. "your honor, i have here in my hands hundreds of documents to wave around dramatically". old tired trick.

5. She stated that she was staying in the Palestine Hotel. CNN had |
|
purchased the documents, which she stated may or may NOT be authentic, for $4k - $5k. My bet is that they will be fakes, but by the time that it can be proven the election will be over.

6. Not that I don't believe CNN... |
|
...would hold a "scoop" for months to help Bush, but that tale is pretty fishy. I think it's more likely that a freeptard just can't let go and is making shit up to justify her delusions.

7. Yep...Too Late...That Dog Won't Hunt |
|
Look at how little play the "finding of WMD"...that stinkin' artillery shell a couple weeks back took. For the wingnuts, they're saying the loss of all this life is now justified for that one shell (or they might find another pre '88 Rumsfield special). The rest of the country and the world blew it off as another lie for a regime that has virtually no credibility now, what makes you think it'll improve by October?
They cried wolf one time too many, the sky fell but now it looks like either they ignored it or may have even encouraged it and they still refuse to take the slightest bit of responsibility for their actions or even admit they've made mistakes. Zero credibility heading to negative numbers in a hurry.
Even digging out Osama isn't gonna do a thing by then since everyone will be so partisan'd and politc'd out at that point that it'll be viewed in the most sinister terms by a majority. Keep in mind the previous October surprises happened when the Repugnicans were out of power and the light was on Carter not Raygun going into the election...this time the light's on Bunnypants and his lack of credibility.

8. cnn and the White House are joined at the hip - go figure! |
|
FAUX News is a fucking joke now and most everyone knows this to be true.
The cnn network has a little more creditability and that's what junior is banking on.

9. Did the general produce those documents on his very own PC?... |
|
...Was the caller also posting simultaneously on the Freeperville boards?
"Does this sound plausible"? Only if you also believe that Junior was legitimately elected.

Not plausible, at all. Some right-wing nutjobs may believe, however...
You never know....maybe they have been "coaching" Saddam for the past 6 months....perhaps we will see a dramatic, CIA inspired "confession" when he finally goes on trial...
I would not put anything beyond the evil that this illegal government is capable of.

11. Even if they had real proof, it's too late, I bet. |
|
People look at this war as a monumental failure in terms of planning and execution, not by th esoldiers, but by the planners. The Admin has proven itself to be incompetent in conducting international policy and war, the latter of which is pissing off even the chickehawks.

15. I would like to think that it's too late, but I don't think so |
|
There are LOTS of people around me who hang onto every little snippet of anything to prove that their great, noble pResident didn't lie, isn't lying.
For April Fool's Day Hubby and I faked a 'CNN report' that stated that a small chemical/biological weapons cache had been discovered in Iraq, blah, blah, same old bullshit. The Bushbots bought it and were relieved and gleeful that their liar in chief wasn't really a liar after all. One of these dingbats actually cried when she realized it was a joke.

13. i said in a thread a couple days ago, i have a feelin |
|
by the way cheney bush and others are talking of late, and pumping it, i would stay totally away from this and wmd's. we dont need them in arguement. it is the way bush went to war and the incompetence in executing the war that we need to focus on. that is tangible we see and we know and nothing to bite us on the butt. i dont use the 9/11 connection nor wmd in arguement. i dont need it
but yes i have a feel. have heard bits and pieces they are holding on to proof. probably meager and may not be directed to 9/11 but to the orginization.
